Land Rover Discovery 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The Discovery is being relaunched for the Land Rover Discovery. The car was discontinued in 2005 and no one thought the car would make it back on the scene, but Land Rover decided to get one of their more popular brands back. The car will be paired with a Discovery Sport under a Land Rover imprint.
Land Rover Discovery
Essentially we get a brand-within-a-brand concept as the Discovery is much closer to the Range Rover or Range Rover Sport technologically than the much smaller Discovery Sport version. But they still bring back something that fans have been yearning for but the question now is whether the off-road capability is enough.
The Land Rover Discovery offers three rows of seating and is also available for seven people. Although the competition is fierce and should be the Discovery’s biggest concern, the car puts a lot of emphasis on this car. Here is the review that will prepare you in time for the release.
When is the release date of the?
The news about the Land Rover Discovery actually hit us hard and came shortly after the images were released. Since we only saw spy photos, we were only recently offered an almost finished model. Although the car is offered as a model, according to its styling and the information we receive, it will be offered sooner and we may get it in late .
How much does the Land Rover Discovery cost?
Another indication of an early release of the Land Rover Discovery is the availability of the car’s price. Base models start at an MSRP of $49,990. The HSE is offered for $58,950, the HSE Luxury for $63,950 and the specially offered First Edition model for $73,950.
Redesign of the exterior
The latest Land Rover Discovery will resemble its Sport companion. But there will still be a big difference as it will be developed on a completely different architecture. This will make the Discovery longer and wider than the Sport and therefore more imposing. It is a radical difference from the old Discovery models as the T-square sharpened angles have been replaced by a softer silhouette that looks more like a crossover car.
The familiar cues remain, so the front end features a mesh grille with LED headlights. There is a slight bump to the roofline at the back and it actually gives a bit more headroom for the interior this way. You can also paint the roof in a contrasting color and get a really fun and interesting look for the Land Rover Discovery.
Interior changes
The interior of the Land Rover Discovery will actually offer us the same look we are used to in current Land Rover vehicles. The interior is a bit plain and has some horizontal and vertical dashboard parts with a lot of gloss and black trim. There is a rotary controller that controls the transmission and has a very wide and high-resolution touchscreen. It even adds oak, aluminum and leather parts, all of which are unfortunately optional but still give us a warm and great feeling when driving this car.
Performance and engine specifications
There is some good news regarding the engine choices for the Land Rover Discovery. The car will offer both gasoline and diesel variants. The already familiar 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 will make an appearance. It makes 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. We also get a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 that makes 254 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, and this is paired with an 8-speed and all-wheel drive.
0-62 mph per hour and acceleration
Based on the information currently provided, the Land Rover Discovery will be able to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7 seconds. This is also boasted of a top speed of 125 mph as it is estimated.
Fuel consumption and mileage
Thanks to the Land Rover Discovery’s lighter construction, fuel economy specifications will also improve. The car will save a lot of fuel, but at the moment the official fuel economy rates are not offered. However, we do know that the car will produce fewer CO2 emissions and will get a rating of 26 mpg for combined consumption.
Dimensions Extensions
Compared to what we got, the Land Rover Discovery will get a bigger platform. This also means that the dimensions will be changed a little and the car will be moved up a little. We are sure that the car will have a ground clearance of 11.1 inches, which will do a lot of good for the car.
The most important thing, however, is that the car has more space inside. The passengers will fit well and be placed there very comfortably. The cargo space will also see many improvements. There is a total of 82.7 cubic feet of space behind the front seats and 45 cubic feet behind the second row seat.
Safety Land Rover Discovery
This car is a good family vehicle as the Land Rover Discovery offers a lot of safety to its passengers. The semi-autonomous safety technology gives you a feel of high-quality materials and durable and strong manufacturing. The active safety systems that come alongside the car are very useful and offer autonomous emergency braking, a forward-facing camera, adaptive cruise control, advanced emergency braking assist, and intelligent emergency braking. For the advanced safety systems, the Discovery will add parking assist, blind spot monitor features, adaptive cruise control, driver condition monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and an HD surround camera system with 360-degree surround view.
Competing cars
It will not be easy to compete for the Land Rover Discovery again, especially since there are already a number of established vehicles that are already well known in this segment. The most popular at the moment are the Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90 , which have the most to offer. Other cars are the BMW X5 , the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Lexus GX, which can also be included in the race.
