Lincoln MKC 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Lincoln may be an ancient company, but they won’t let that happen with their Lincoln MKC. The company hopes that the updates it provides for the model will maintain the vehicle’s appearance and keep things fresh so that the waves this car has made continue into the future.
Lincoln MKC
One of the most reliable things about the MKC model is the aspect that many Lincoln vehicles have received modern upgrades that make them much more adaptable and promising for the contemporary market.
Lincoln is known as an old-school company and they made great branded vehicles, but in one moment they were outdone by the much “younger” competition. Here comes the part where it proves that you can teach an old dog new tricks. In order to maintain their image and also their sales offers, the brand tried to reinvent itself. What they managed to do was to start with a completely different approach to their cars. Since 2008, Lincoln has been making great modern cars. The same goes for the MKC model.
Recently, the Lincoln MKC vehicle has undergone various changes that promised to make it even more complementary than it used to be. One of the main things Lincoln tries to do is to maintain it and refresh the car in time. The compact crossover segment is tight and there are many submersible vehicles. Keeping up with the times and following the modern approach is what Lincoln needs to do to maintain the image of MKC.
The current generation models of the Lincoln MKC were officially released in 2014 after being presented as a concept model in Detroit a year earlier. The current generation MKC vehicles exemplify what the company has planned for its entire model range. They produce exemplary vehicles that meet the needs of the younger audience. As for the MKC, sales have grown steadily year after year. The MKC has a base of female buyers who make up more than 50% of the units sold. But the competition is tough here, so it is important that they maintain their image.
The model year brings updates to the car that we expected. The vehicle still has an image that we all know and like, and we are happy to hear and see that the model will still fight the good fight with the necessary updates. As the latest images emerge and the model gets closer to the release date, we offer you our full report on it.
When is the Lincoln MKC expected to be released?
The latest Lincoln MKC is expected to arrive very soon. The latest photos show us the model that is almost ready to appear and start sales. The vehicle is known for its reliability and luxury. Maintaining the updates required for the model will certainly be good for the brand to be successful. We expect the model to arrive in late and the release date will be before the end of the year.
Prices
The list of trim levels and their price for the Lincoln MKC cars has been released and is known. People still have to pay a luxury sum for this brand and it is not as cheap as one would expect. That being said, this is a Lincoln model so you cannot expect to get a lesser price for it. So the price of the base trim, the Premiere, starts at €33,260 (Euro). After that, the Select is offered for $37,090 and the top one is the Reserve worth $40,460. Compared to the current model, the numbers are not so inflated and the price is very similar to what was previously given.
Design
The Lincoln MKC doesn’t go too far in redesigning the exterior. In fact, it mostly resembles the brand’s concept model when the second-generation vehicle was launched. It still manages to create a combination of bold and muscular stance, giving it a basic dose of elegance that you expect from the brand’s car. There are some notable differences from the concept version we saw. These include conventional door handles, updated graphics on the tailgate and the latest exhaust tips that are now rounded. The front end retains its most recognizable parts and these are the split-wing grille and sharp headlights. It is combined with the bumper that we also saw before.
Generally speaking, the Lincoln MKC is a very attractive looking model. It is sleek and uncluttered while managing to combine the simplicity of design that makes this car what it is. The profile of the car adds some double shoulder lines that add more character to the car as they extend across it. The height is also appropriate and the wheel size as well as it fills out the car more than adequately. The rear of the car gives the model a very wide looking concept. The taillight is quite wide and the taillights are kept similar. The dual exhaust pipes are different as they have a rounded shape.
Some features that you will see for the exterior are panoramic vista roof that the second row passengers can enjoy. The car is also illuminated from all sides. This part is called approach lighting and it activates once you put your key in the key holder. Another feature that comes with the lighting of the car is the HID bulbs that are used for better visibility while the LED bulbs are for accents. There are six different wheel options to choose from including different designs and 18-inch and 20-inch sizes. Also announced is the latest color palette that can be selected as an option.
A pleasant and luxurious cottage
When you look inside the Lincoln MKC, you will notice a premium and luxurious cabin. The most important aspect of the car is still its comfort and the designers have tried their best to make it. Another more important aspect for some is the amount of new technology that goes into it. The only part we have an objection to is the styling of the cabin. The cabin layout and styling are quite similar to the lack of polish we have seen before. It is not impressive at all and just tarnishes all the good parts that the model has. However, we hope that they improve this next time with the new refresh or at least with the latest generation model.
But the car is still exceptionally good and comfortable. It is mainly thanks to the aluminum strips and soft-touch materials that dominate the interior. The standard seats are wrapped in leather and feature French stitching. However, you will also enjoy the heating that is included in the seats. There are optional adjustable seats that offer more comfort as they are made specifically for luxury brands. The ambient lighting system offers seven different lighting themes that can influence the mood and help passengers inside feel even more comfortable.
Some of the equipment that made it inside is truly exceptional. First of all, all sound enthusiasts have the option of using a THX-II certified audio system that has 14 individual speakers and produces 700 watts of power. You can operate it through an 8-inch touchscreen. Other services and features include SiriusXM traffic, Travel Link services, the MyLincoln Mobile app and much more. This allows users more options and a much more contemporary and modern environment with all the additions that have been made to the interior.
Powertrain Offers
The Lincoln MKC offers us a few engine options when it comes to different trim levels of the car. The standard offering is the 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline-four that makes 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. However, if you choose the higher trim, you will also get a more powerful engine, namely the 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four that offers 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. The standard setup and also the base version come with a FWD, but higher models and models with the second more powerful engine will be equipped with an AWD system. Finally, all models will use a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
Top speed and 0-62 mph per hour statistics
Since the engines are not changed for the Lincoln MKC, we are also left with the same statistics as before. There are no improvements in power and no changes in specifications either, so we have an acceleration time of about 7 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km per hour, while the top speed can be limited to 155 mph.
EPA Statistics and Fuel Economy
Since they haven’t done anything significant to improve fuel economy for the Lincoln MKC, fuel economy will remain the same. This leads us to an EPA rating of 20 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined for the base trim and standard engine, while the upper trims and the more powerful engine get 18 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined. In general, if you want to save fuel, you can go with the standard, while the secondary will give you more power but won’t really help with efficiency.
Dimensions and size of the Lincoln MKC
Since the Lincoln MKC is merely a refresh and focuses mainly on the aesthetic part of the car, we will not see any size changes. The car is a well-equipped model and has many similarities with the other models in the segment. They decided against versatility and did not want to update the brand and give it a new dimension. The current features are more than balanced and also offer just enough interior space inside and a large cargo capacity. The car is 179.2 cm long and has a wheelbase of 105.9 cm. It is also 73.4 cm wide and has a height of 65.2 cm. As for the interior, it still has space for 5 people and has a passenger volume of 97.9 cu. ft. and a cargo volume of 25.2 cu. ft., behind the second row and 53.1 cu. ft., behind the front seats.
The Lincoln MKC is as safe as they come
One of the most important aspects of the Lincoln MKC is the fact that it is very safe and new technologies have been added here as well. The MKC now packs various pieces of active and safety technology that will ultimately contribute to the safety of this vehicle. The additions that are added to make you feel safe include a forward collision warning system, lane departure warning, driver alert monitor, active parking assist and the seven standard airbags that also come with it.
What about the segment?
The latest Lincoln MKC will have a tough time in the compact crossover segment. One of the main factors here is that the segment is filled with versatile cars and vehicles that maintain an image that is followed by their own established fan base. One of the most downgrading things about the Lincoln MKC is that it is priced higher than its closest rival cars. But it is introduced as a luxury SUV, so it has those things going for it in turn. Models that the MKC will certainly have a hard time beating include the Ford Escape as its top seller, but also other models like the Audi Q3 and BMW X1 .
