And finally, here it is. For all the Ford lovers out there, we can now proudly bring you the long-awaited Lincoln MKX review. In the next paragraph or so, you will learn some new things, be reminded of how it all began, and of course, see for yourself if it’s any good or not.
Publication date
A few years ago, Ford made a long-term plan and presented it to a wide audience. Essentially, they want to expand their production and quality until and focus mainly on the production of this special vehicle, the Lincoln MKX. The release date was set for the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. That’s exactly where we witnessed history when the company finally presented it in all its beauty!
Back in 2014, Ford presented the basic concept of the vehicle on one of their stages. Don’t get us wrong, it looked spectacular, completely different from anything we’ve ever seen on a crossover, but it was just too good to be true. Two months ago, it all became reality. We were able to touch and feel, see and enjoy every detail of this vehicle.
It was a spitting image of this concept car we saw a year ago, with a few minor differences. From the images we’ve provided, you can see where Ford is headed and what the bright future will look like for their new designs.
Design
Every boundary we had before is now crushed with this new design of the Lincoln MKX exterior. Every boxy shell looks ridiculous now. They changed that old look with this futuristic design that we could only see in Hollywood and nailed it!
Up front, you can see the split grille and slightly angled headlights, which look beautiful. The Lincoln MKX exterior features a sloping roof, a taillight that goes all the way around the back, massive rear fenders, and a redesigned rear fascia.
And the rectangular silencers look great.
inner space
Ford wasn’t too proud not to see the good things in their competition. They saw everything good and actually adopted it in their Lincoln MKX interior. It has all the technological improvements, fine leather for added comfort, and all the safety features a good crossover needs.
Is the interior of the cabin made of wood? NO!
Is it made of metal? Plastic? NO!
Everything inside is covered with fine high quality leather. Making comfort in this car truly first class.
The Revel sound system is another jewel in that crown. Along with 22 settings of adjustable seats, it makes the overall impression fly through the leather-covered roof.
Not to mention the 360-degree camera, automatic parallel and perpendicular parking, pre-collision assist, etc. With all these upgrades, the Lincoln MKX becomes one of the safest vehicles.
The engine of Lincoln MKX
The beast under the hood actually has options. You can choose which beast you want to buy as Lincoln MKX Engine . There are two options.
The first options include a 3.7-liter V6 engine with 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, which was used in some previous models. It’s not a bad engine, but (there’s always the “but”) most people didn’t like that option. Ford thought about it and made a second option.
The second option for the Lincoln MKX is the 2.7-liter Eco-Boost V-6, which makes 330 horsepower and 370 pound-feet. This option has been much better received by the masses and may be better suited to new, more economical ways of thinking.
In addition, there are two other options available to you as a buyer: front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
Price of Lincoln MKX
The current Lincoln MKX price for is still at €38,900 (Euro) , but is expected to reach up to €40,000 (Euro).
