Lucid Gravity 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

Following the launch of its beautiful Air sedan for the model year, electric vehicle newbie Lucid Motors is setting its sights on an equally beautiful-looking SUV concept called Project Gravity. Exactly what name this all-electric crossover will bear when it eventually hits the market is unknown, but our money is on Lucid dropping just the “Project” prefix.

Clear Gravity

The Gravity is expected to share most of its mechanical details and interior design with the Air, so we’re looking at big horsepower (up to 1,080 hp), a big battery pack (up to 113 kWh), and a snazzy cabin loaded with modern amenities. Lucid would be smart to get the Gravity into production quickly, as a growing number of competitors — like the Audi e-tron , Jaguar I-Pace , Tesla Model X, and the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq — are already laying claim to the luxury EV SUV space.

What’s new ?

At the launch of its Air luxury sedan, Lucid teased the upcoming Gravity SUV, saying it would arrive in the next few years. We expect it as a model or so, so those craving a beautifully designed long-range electric SUV in the style of the beautifully designed Lucid Air long-range sedan will have to wait.

Lucid hasn’t mentioned the Gravity’s price or trim levels yet – and the company probably won’t for some time – but we suspect it will cost a bit more than the Air to launch and offer a similar range of trims. We’ll update this story with more details as they come out.

Engine, transmission and performance

If the Gravity shares its mechanical underpinnings with the Air sedan, we can expect two electric motors enabling standard all-wheel drive and up to 1,080 horsepower. Like the Air, the most expensive models will likely be the most powerful, with lower-end Gravity trims coming with lower horsepower ratings. An adjustable air suspension is likely to carry over from the Air as standard equipment.

Range, charging and battery life

Although its sedan sibling offers up to 517 miles of range per charge of its 113 kWh battery, the Gravity’s taller, blunter SUV styling will likely be less aerodynamic, and range should be slightly reduced as a result. Still, the Gravity’s range is still expected to be longer than that of the most efficient SUV, the Model X. Like the Air, the Gravity is expected to be able to juice up quickly via DC fast charging, and may even offer three years of free charging from Electrify America charging stations.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

The EPA’s fuel economy estimates for the Lucid Gravity haven’t been released yet, and we’ll likely be waiting a while to find out since this SUV is still just a concept. We hope to test the Gravity on our 200-mile highway fuel economy test track as it gets closer to its launch.

Interior, comfort and cargo

Lucid has only shown some partially obscured images of the Gravity’s exterior so far, but if the Air’s luxuriously clad cabin is anything to go by, we can expect plenty of touchscreen controls, a mostly glass roof, plenty of room for adults to stretch out in both the front and back seats, and plush materials like leather, wood, and metal accents.

Infotainment and connectivity

As with the rest of the Gravity’s interior, the infotainment system and features haven’t been fully revealed. We’re expecting a large digital instrument cluster that will blend right into an infotainment touchscreen on the dashboard. Voice recognition is sure to be a standard feature, but we haven’t heard anything about smartphone connectivity features like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. More information on the Gravity’s infotainment offerings will be available closer to the SUV’s launch.

Safety and driver assistance functions

Because it’s a concept, the Gravity has yet to undergo crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). A variety of driver-assistance features are likely, including Lucid’s promised Level 3 self-driving technology in the future. Key safety features are likely to include:

  • Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection as standard
  • Available lane departure warning with lane keeping assist
  • Available adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode

Warranty and maintenance coverage

Lucid is a relatively new player in the automotive world and has not released any information about the standard warranty package on its cars , but it is expected to compete directly with main rival Tesla and other luxury car manufacturers.

Price Lucid Gravity

The Lucid Gravity is available in many configurations with power levels from 480 to 1,111 hp, rear- or all-wheel drive and a price from 66,500 euros to over 145,500 euros.
