Maserati GranTurismo Folgore 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data. EV

Italian automaker Maserati is joining the electric vehicle industry by launching an electric version of its new Grecale small SUV and a sports car, the GranTurismo Folgore. All of Maserati’s electric vehicles will bear the name “Folgore,” which means “lightning” in Italian, and the GranTurismo Folgore is expected to accelerate at lightning speed.

EV Motor, Power and Performance

The GranTurismo Folgore is powered by three electric motors that generate a combined 750 horsepower and send power to all four wheels. This setup will likely result in better acceleration compared to the petrol-powered GranTurismo, which has a maximum power of 542 horsepower. Two of the motors drive the rear wheels and the third motor drives the front axle. Maserati claims this configuration offers torque vectoring, mimicking the performance of a limited-slip differential.

Battery capacity and charging

The GranTurismo Folgore is equipped with an 83.0 kWh battery pack that is said to provide an estimated range of 400 km. The exact range will be determined through real-world testing. Maserati claims the car can be fast-charged with a maximum power of 270 kW, allowing a range of 100 km in just 5 minutes.

Fuel efficiency and real range

Official fuel efficiency and range estimates from the EPA have not yet been released. Information will be updated as it becomes available. In addition, the car will undergo real-world testing on a highway at 120 km/h to determine its actual fuel efficiency. Interior and comfort features

The GranTurismo Folgore is a four-seat coupe with a luxurious interior, similar to the petrol-powered GranTurismo. The car ‘s cabin is fitted with sustainable materials, including upholstery made from recycled fishing nets.

Passenger and cargo space are expected to rival its rivals such as the Aston Martin Vantage and Mercedes-AMG GT R. If Maserati decides to launch a GranCabrio Folgore model, the trunk capacity will likely be reduced to accommodate the folding roof.

Entertainment and connectivity technology

All GranTurismo Folgore models come with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen running Maserati’s latest Google-based system. The car also offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. A secondary 8.8-inch touchscreen serves as the climate control panel, and a head-up display is available as an option. The premium 19-speaker stereo system has been tuned by Italian audio specialist Sonus Faber.
