Maserati Grecale Folgore 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data. EVs

Maserati is expanding its Grecale Folgore range with an electric version of its new Grecale SUV. Since “folgore” means “lightning” in Italian, we expect this crossover to be electric, and it promises to be able to do just that. Grecale Folgore will join the GranTurismo Folgore sports car as the Italian automaker realizes its goal of electrifying its cars and SUVs.

The Grecale Folgore’s striking appearance mimics that of the petrol version with several key differences, including a unique grille treatment and stylish Folgore-specific wheel designs. Details on the Folgore powerplant are scarce, but Maserati promises a large 105.0 kWh battery pack – although we don’t know if that’s in terms of gross or usable capacity – which should provide excellent range.

The company has not disclosed horsepower figures, but has stated that the Grecale Folgore’s powertrain will produce up to 590 lb-ft of torque. Even so, the electric powertrain is expected to deliver impressive acceleration and enable the Grecale Folgore to compete with the BMW iX and Tesla Model X.

Infotainment and connectivity

Digital offerings in the Grecale Folgore’s interior are expected to be similar to those found on the standard gas-powered model, including a reconfigurable screen for the instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and an additional 8.8-inch screen for climate control and other vehicle functions. In addition, the model features a unique dashboard clock with a round screen that displays an analog dial reminiscent of a smartwatch.
