The all-new Mazda BT-50 pickup truck continues its journey as a mid-size pickup truck. This model is closely related to the Isuzu D-Max model . The BT-50 will again introduce mid-cycle refreshes. This includes a few visual updates and the interior will get more technology. The highlight of the model, however, could be its improved performance. The next-generation model is not yet in sight.

The interior looks modern
The interior will receive a few modern updates. Thanks to this, the new Mazda BT-50 will look more modern. Some things are taken from the D-Max model. However, the cabin looks unique and definitely looks refreshed. The current model was closer to the Ford Ranger, but that will change now. The interior looks a little different and wears higher quality materials.
The pickup looks stylish and new high-tech amenities are the main upgrade. These include new driver assistance aids, but these features are optional on the base trim level. The Mazda BT-50 will be a more competitive pickup and will only arrive in a crew cab configuration.
Motor
The interior and exterior improvements are important. However, the biggest upgrade for the Mazda BT-50 will be a new powertrain option. The new engine is not yet official, but it seems that Mazda’s collaboration with Isuzu will certainly bring new power. A new 3.0-liter turbodiesel is available in Australia and Asia.
This unit can produce 177 horsepower and tow over 8,000 pounds. For comparison, the current 2.5-liter turbodiesel can tow 7,700 pounds. However, this engine will remain in some markets. Eventually, the Japanese manufacturer will borrow an engine from its SUV range and it will be an optional engine.

The upcoming Mazda BT-50 will arrive at dealerships in the last quarter of . A new mid-size pickup truck will cost a bit more than its predecessor. That means you can buy a new BT-50 truck for around €30,000 (Euro). We are still waiting for Mazda to release the exact launch date and possible new powertrain option.
