Mercedes-AMG C 43 2025: Overview and specifications of the convertible
The Geneva Motor Show also marks the debut of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 as it finally hits the market. With the base version set to arrive in March with the sedan and coupe versions, the next setup is the cabriolet form, which will be a great model and another body choice for the brand. Performance is the most discussed, after all, a 4Matic all-wheel drive system will be used and paired with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.
Mercedes-AMG C 43
Mercedes’ designers have said they will be expanding their AMG roster, helping the car’s portfolio reach new heights and introduce new models. With the driving performance, you also get a varied driving experience that changes depending on the body type you choose. This also gives you the ability to use the vehicle in many different ways and in different situations. The AMG Cabriolet will appeal more clearly to the younger target audience, as it is clearly aimed at a price choice for them.
So the future could expect even more variants from Mercedes-AMG. Currently, there are many rumors and suggestions about where they could expand, but for now, this is one of their most important decisions. So, until something new appears, let’s get to know the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4Matic Cabriolet and study its technical data in the test.
Mercedes-AMG C 43 Exterior
The exterior design of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 matches many exterior design parts of the C43 Coupe version. The front fascia is completely carried over and features prominent corner slits and a mesh-filled air dam. The side of the car has the alloy wheels and a finish that is accentuated by a chrome trim that runs around the waist of the car. There are some “BITURBO-4MATIC” badges on the front fenders to indicate the model.
The rear end of the car has more changes incorporated to match the model’s drop top. This makes the deck lid significantly shorter than the one previously used, allowing the door and storage space for the car to be accommodated. The cargo area is unfortunately shortened, but that’s what should happen when shortening to a convertible. Design of the declined area, the rear end is mostly the same and undergoes no further changes. The rear fascia has the same corner vents and the grey rear diffuser that accentuates the chrome exhausts.
In general, the designers wanted to keep the convertible as sporty as its coupe version, and they did a great job with that. They also added an optional “Night” package option that offers all sorts of additional features.
Mercedes-AMG C 43 interior
Once you enter the interior of the Mercedes-AMG C 43, you are treated to a completely refined offering. The seats are upholstered in Artico synthetic leather and Dinamica microfiber, and the same materials wrap around the beltline, center console, door panels and armrests. This addition adds some much-needed sportiness to the car’s interior and enhances the car’s ambience. The leather is held in place by red contrast stitching, which is paired with red seat belts and black floor mats.
The instrument cluster also has a great contemporary design and includes two tubular round dials and a 4.5-inch color display in the center. The background has a checkered flag as the speedometer has an engraved speed limit of 173 mph. Some optional features that are only available on the convertible version are the automatic closing of the trunk separator by the AirScarf neck heater and of course a fabric top that works at speeds up to 50 km / h. The top is also available in red, brown, dark blue and of course black.
Engine specifications of Mercedes-AMG C 43
The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4Matic Cabriolet’s powertrain will be equally adaptable, and the model is no slouch on the track. It uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 that produces 367 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission that has been specifically tuned for the C43 models.
This gives better response when changing gears and better integration with the engine. You also have Sport and Sport Plus modes that allow for more powerful and emotional gear shifting, but Eco, Comfort and Sport get faster gear shift times. Performance from 0 to 100 km per hour is possible in 4.7 seconds, while managing to reach a top speed of 155 mph.
Mercedes-AMG C 43 release date and price
The Mercedes-AMG C 43 is one of the most anticipated vehicles of the year and the talks about it are reaching sky-high levels. Since the base version has already reached us, we still have to wait a few months for the convertible to appear, so the release date is set for the later part of this year. The price of the base version is €50,000 (Euro), while the convertible version is between €55,000 and €60,000 (Euro).
