Mercedes-Benz EQS 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

After a series of preliminary teasers, Mercedes has finally unveiled the all-electric luxury liftback, the Mercedes-Benz EQS . The novelty received exactly a five-door design with a large trunk lid, while the usual S-class is a traditional sedan. The strength of the electric car is the latest modular chassis, a body optimally optimized in terms of aerodynamics, advanced electronics and two drive configurations.

EQS

The assembly of serial copies of the Mercedes-Benz EQS will be organized at the Sindelfingen plant. The model will enter the European market in the fall, and will arrive in Russia towards the end of this year. According to preliminary data, only the all-wheel drive version of the EQS 580 4Matic will go on sale. Prices and configurations will appear later.

Design and dimensions

To achieve the best possible streamlining of the body, the developers gave the liftback a wedge-shaped profile. They also equipped the car with frameless doors, retractable handles, aerodynamically and acoustically optimized mirror housings and special 19-21 inch rims. The underbody of the car was designed to be as smooth as possible to avoid turbulence. As a result, these and other optimizations enabled an incredibly low drag coefficient of 0.20 (in the S-Class sedan it is 0.22).

A central design element at the front is the black panel grille with a large trident star in the middle. On the sides are the head optics blocks, which are connected by a thin strip of navigation lights. Powerful LED headlights are standard on the model, and the innovative Digital Light technology with millions of micro-mirrors that can project additional information onto the road is available as an option.

The rear of the new Mercedes-Benz EQS is characterized by its rounded contours and the original graphics of the lanterns in the form of a three-dimensional spiral. Analogous to the front, the rear optics extend in a continuous band across the entire width of the body.

The electric Mercedes liftback is 5216 mm long, 1926 mm wide and 1512 mm high. The dimensional differences to the traditional four-door S-Class are minimal.

Interior and equipment

The layout of the front panel of the Mercedes EQS in the basic and optional versions differs significantly. The standard configuration is the same as in the usual “eski” – a digitally organized 12.3-inch in front of the driver and a portrait-format 12.8-inch touchscreen on the center console. This configuration provides for the presence of physical buttons for quick access to basic functions.

For an additional charge, a self-learning complex MBUX Hyperscreen is offered, which combines three displays under a common glass: a dashboard (12.3 inches), a media center (17.7 inches) and an infotainment system for the passenger (12.3 inches). The last two screens are made using OLED technology, which offers high contrast regardless of the viewing angle and lighting. An eight-core processor is responsible for operating the “hyperscreen”, and each touch of the sensor is accompanied by a reaction (clicks or vibration).

The electric car’s equipment also includes a head-up display, electric door drives with remote control function, a two-part panoramic roof, 710 watts of Burmester acoustics with 15 speakers. For rear passengers, two screens of 11.6 inches (mounted on the backs of the front seats) and their own removable tablet are prepared. Heating, ventilation and massage programs are available on all seats. Well, the liftback has a whole range of electronic assistants, including the second-level autopilot Drive Pilot and the automatic parking assistant Intelligent Park Pilot. The trunk of a car holds between 610 and 1770 liters of cargo.

Technical data

The electric flagship of Mercedes debuts in two versions: Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+: electric motor with 333 hp and 568 Nm on the rear axle, traction battery with a capacity of 107.8 kWh, power reserve in the WLTP cycle – 530 km, acceleration time to “hundreds” – 6.2 seconds, maximum speed – 210 km / h;
Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4Matic: two electric motors (one on each axle) with a total power of 523 hp and 855 Nm, battery 107.8 kWh, mileage without recharging – about 500 km, acceleration from standstill to 100 km / h – 4.3 seconds, maximum speed – 210 km / h.
The liftback is equipped with a 400-volt electrical system. Using a standard charger, you can charge the battery energy from conventional single-phase and three-phase sockets. It is also possible to connect to DC terminals with a power of up to 200 kW – in this case, the mileage increases by 300 km in just 15 minutes.
