Mercedes Benz GLB 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The spacious and practical compact luxury crossover arrived last year as a completely new model. Anyone who knows the German carmaker knows what will happen in the second year of production. We are, of course, talking about a high-performance version with the famous AMG emblem.

SUV Mercedes Benz GLB

This will be the biggest novelty for the crossover, which already stands out as one of the most spacious models in its class. Otherwise, we do not expect any special changes. Nevertheless, there is always room for things like new standards and available features. In terms of basic design features, the Mercedes Benz GLB will continue in the usual way.

This means you can count on a crossover that has a lot to offer, starting with a spacious and well-built cabin with super-fine materials and plenty of tech features. Also, the engine range will now be more impressive, although the standard model already offers a pretty amazing balance between power and efficiency. We expect to see Mercedes Benz GLB in the next few months.

Redesign

In terms of basic design features, the Mercedes Benz GLB will definitely not change. We are simply talking about a model that was introduced just a year ago. It features a modern, high-tech design combined with many styling elements that resemble the legendary G-Class. However, this model is definitely not an off-roader. Despite the bulky shaper, it is more of a typical crossover. In fact, it shares most of the details with the GLC model .

For next year, the biggest novelty will be the addition of a high-performance version under the famous AMG badge. This model will not only come with a more powerful engine, but also with all kinds of mechanical and aesthetic upgrades. You can count on a more attractive look, but also an improved chassis, brakes and the like.

Inner

Inside, we don’t expect any major changes except for the AMG model. The base versions will continue as is, meaning you can count on a well-designed and spacious cabin. The overall quality of the interior is at an impressive level and this is certainly one of the best models in the class if that aspect. The materials are fantastic, as are the finishing touches. Plus, the long list of standard features makes everything seem even more opulent.

This crossover comes with two rows of seats as standard. Still, 111.4 inches of wheelbase is enough for the optional third row. In terms of cargo capacity, the total volume is 62 cubic feet. That’s not a particularly impressive number, but still higher compared to the GLC-Class.

Characteristics

As mentioned, each trim level could see some additions in terms of standard and optional features, but we’re pretty sure these changes will be minimal, so expect base models to come with extras like a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen, a touchpad controller, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, HD Radio, voice recognition, etc. In higher trim levels, you can also count on extras like navigation, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital display, satellite radio, a 12-speaker Burmester stereo, wireless charging, etc.

In terms of safety, all models come standard with systems such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear view camera, pedestrian detection and crosswind assist. Higher trim levels offer extras such as blind spot monitoring, front and rear cross traffic alert, parallel and perpendicular parking assist, a parking camera system with all-round visibility, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go speed, speed limit assist, automatic high beam, etc.

Engines

In terms of powertrain, base models will continue with a familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four that makes around 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. That seems to be plenty for most drivers and dynamics are actually pretty good. Additionally, fuel economy is pretty good too, with this crossover returning around 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

For next year, the German automaker will unveil the AMG versions. First, we will see the GLB35 version, which comes with a turbo-four that produces around 302 horsepower. That will be enough to ensure a 0-100 spring in just over five seconds. Eventually, we will see the GLB45 version with 382 horsepower.
