We finally got our first official look at the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. The model was first shown as a concept a year ago at the Shanghai Auto Show, and we immediately saw the car’s potential. Now, a year later, we were able to see the production version of the GLC Coupe at the New York Auto Show. The pictures were shown everywhere, and we were very impressed with the stuff the model has.

It’s essentially a coupe body with SUV suspensions, but it doesn’t take away from the size the car will offer. The production version has managed to add a few nips and tucks here and there, but essentially it’s very similar to the concept version shown a year ago. When the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe concept was unveiled, there were a lot of mixed feelings. Some said it was impractical and others even said it was ugly. Now, when the production version appeared, all of those talks came to a halt. The model has been trimmed down and will be one of the better cars of the year.

When is the release date?
After the NY Auto Show and the first unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe comes its respective release date. The model will go on sale at the end of the year, which means that we will be able to buy this model at the end of , although it is still a version.
How much does the GLC Coupé cost?
The price of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is not officially announced yet, even though the car has been unveiled. But based on the prices of the competitor cars and the setup they offer, we can expect the car to be priced between €45,000 and €50,000 (Euros).
What is the exterior design like?
The exterior of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe looks dynamic and compact. Compared to the concept model, several design changes have been made. The headlights are essentially the same shape but are slightly higher. The model also has the same diamond grille at the front with a single floating air flap. The center openings in the lower fascia are smaller but have the same shape.
From the side, we see that the car has a sports coupe styling. The biggest change from the concept are the refined side mirrors. The beltline and lower body lines are the same. The GLC will also have very large wheels, using 21-inch wheels.
Most of the quantity changes have been introduced at the rear. The taillights are taller and have LEDs in the middle that also serve as reserve lights. There is a pronounced built-in lip on the deck lid, while the lower part has been completely toned down compared to the concept. The dual exhaust tips have been excluded, there is a red reflector at each corner and the area for the license plate is recessed into the fascia.
What does the inside look like?
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe presents us with a very luxurious interior. It has a very sleek looking dashboard design. It also offers a two-tone color scheme with options for brown and gray colors.
If you want more equipment, you can opt for an interior sports package that is available as an option. There are sports seats wrapped in MB-Tex synthetic leather/DINAMICA microfiber and two-tone leather upholstery is offered for the AMG GLC43 variant. A flat-bottom steering wheel and rubberized pedals are offered for the GLC300, along with optional red MB-Tex upholstery.
What is the engine power?
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has been announced to be powered by a four-cylinder engine producing 241 horsepower. Power is sent to all four wheels using the 4Matic AWD system, and a new compact transfer case is attached to the 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with off-road suspension as standard, and there are a variety of driving modes, with Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual to choose from.
0-62 mph per hour acceleration and top speed
Acceleration for the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has not been officially confirmed, but some estimates have been made. For the car to be competitive, we can assume that it will need to reach 0-62 mph in around 6.5 seconds, which is very achievable with the type of powertrain. It will also likely come with a top speed of 155 mph.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will have the appropriate dimensions for its new car. Compared to the base GLC, it will be a bit longer. It will have an overall length of 186.2 inches, a height of 63 inches, and a wheelbase of 113 inches. It makes the GLC Coupe 3.2 inches longer and 1.6 inches lower compared to the base GLC.
