Mercedes EQC 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The Mercedes EQC would have been a compact SUV that would have seated five. Its all-electric powertrain would have delivered quiet performance, along with the crisp acceleration that is part of the package with many luxury EVs.

What’s new?

The Mercedes-Benz EQC was originally supposed to be all-new for the model year. The Progressive trim of the Mercedes-Benz EQC would have come with enough standard features to make most luxury SUV buyers happy.

All models were to offer a sunroof to let natural light into the cabin and rain-sensing wipers to keep the windshield clean on stormy days. A power tailgate would have been standard, as would LED headlights.

EQC DESIGN

As the first Mercedes-Benz model under the new product and technology brand EQ, the EQC offers groundbreaking design details and striking color accents. A particularly striking feature is that the headlights and air intake merge into a black paneled surface. The innovative interior design is inspired by the world of consumer electronics. One example is the slatted edge of the instrument panel, which resembles the cooling fins of a hi-fi amplifier. Both inside and out, the EQC embodies the Progressive Luxury design language.

INNER

The high-quality interior of the EQC is also a pioneer for an avant-garde electric look. This applies to the shape, material mix and user experience. There is a unique contrast between sensual, soft surfaces, precise edges and geometric shapes. The instrument panel is designed as a driver-oriented cockpit. In both volume and complexity, the upper part is reduced to the essentials.

The typical Mercedes-Benz wing profile is asymmetrical and has a “cutout” in the driver’s area. This is where one of the visual highlights of the cockpit is located – a high-tech, high-gloss cassette with flat ventilation slots and key-shaped, rose gold-colored slats. These are a feature of the new EQ design language and exclusive to this new model.

PERFORMANCE

The EQC is equipped with the latest generation of a lithium-ion battery (Li-Ion), which serves as the energy source for both electric motors. The EQC’s integral overall cooling concept, consisting of a heat pump function and two electric PTC heating amplifiers, includes not only the power electronics, the electric motor and the rotor, but also the battery. The entire battery system is liquid-cooled.

At low temperatures, a battery heater ensures excellent performance and efficiency. Mercedes-Benz opted for two asynchronous motors – one for the front axle and one for the rear axle. The system output of the EQC with all-wheel drive is 300 kW and 765 Nm.
