New Kia Sportage 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The most important details about the new 5th generation Kia Sportage crossover have become known. The redesigned new Kia Sportage , like its closest relative Tucson, will be available with two wheelbases. The short version is intended for Europe, the long version for the US and Chinese markets.

The appearance of the novelty is decided in the style of “combination of opposites”, which means a combination of intricate elements with simple lines of body parts. At the front, the distinctive tiger nose grille is larger and more complex. The head optics, equipped with large boomerangs of navigation lights, looks original and somewhat futuristic.
The rear is also decorated in an unusual way. The bumper architecture echoes the design of the front grille, and the compact light units are connected by a thin red strip. The profile of the Sportage has changed significantly – the proportions have been adjusted, the belt line has visually risen, additional windows have formed in the rear roof pillars. The attachment of the side mirrors has changed.
In addition to the classic versions, the range includes the off-road version of the X-Line and the sporty modification of the GT-Line. Each version with a specific external body kit. And for the first time, the Kia Sportage receives an optional contrasting black roof. The rim size is 17, 18 or 19 inches, depending on the configuration. Various configurations and colors of wheels have been developed.
The new generation long-wheelbase crossover turned out to be significantly larger than its predecessor. The wheelbase is 85 mm (2755 mm) larger, the total length is as much as 175 mm (4660 mm). There is also an increase in width and height – 10 and 25 mm (1865 and 1660 mm), respectively.
Interior Kia Sportage
The interior of the model has undergone a global revision. The front panel has noticeably changed and has become 30 mm deeper, which should improve visibility. In the most expensive versions, the driver will have two double displays of devices and media systems – both measuring 12.3 inches. In simpler versions, the analog is tidy with a 4.2-inch screen and a standard media center with a monochrome display or an 8-inch touchscreen.
The climate control unit is equipped with touch buttons and rotary handles. At the bottom of the center console there is a compartment for wireless charging, and on the tunnel there is a washer for the automatic transmission control and a raised panel with buttons for on-board functions. Available options include heated steering wheel, front seat ventilation, panoramic roof, Harman / Kardon acoustics. The complex of security systems includes intelligent cruise control based on navigation data, automatic braking with recognition of pedestrians and cyclists, and blind spot interference detection. There is also a parking assistant that allows you to park your car remotely from outside the car.
The interior of the new Kia Sportage promises more space for passengers and improved equipment. The trunk of the crossover offers space for 637 liters of luggage instead of 491 liters.
Technical characteristics
In the Korean market, the Kia Sportage will debut with two powertrains: the 1.6 TGDI petrol engine produces 180 hp. and 265 Nm, a 2.0-liter diesel engine – 186 hp. and 417 Nm. The first engine will be combined with a 6-speed “mechanics” or a 7-speed “robot”, the second – only with an 8-speed “automatic”. For other markets, other engines will be provided, but the exact data on them will appear later. There will be crossovers and hybrids in the arsenal: regular and plug-in. The chassis of the “fifth” Kia Sportage has an independent configuration: MacPherson strut at the front, multi-link rear axle. An adaptive suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers is offered as an option. Choice of front or full drive. There is a Drive Mode switch with Comfort, Eco, Sport and Smart driving modes. For all-wheel drive diesel vehicles, the Terrain off-road program is also available.
Price
At home, the new Kia Sportage will go on sale in August with two engines and at a price of €22,000 (euros). In other countries, the crossover will appear later and with a different range of engines than the Korean one, which will include hybrid installations.
