New Mercedes G-Klasse 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The G-Class is the most exclusive line in the German manufacturer’s SUV portfolio. The company launched the new generation last year, and we don’t see any serious updates for the season.

So the Mercedes Benz G-Class could bring special things for the legendary model. The SUV is the most expensive and the company offers many upgrades for the interior. Other solutions include a more powerful engine. In Europe, the G-Class also relies on diesel engines.
The Mercedes Benz G Class is built in Austria. It is a hand-built vehicle and you have to be quick as the high price also comes from the limited availability. The boxy design is one of the most striking on the market. You probably won’t say it’s the most exclusive, but it draws attention. Well, for a six-figure price, it has to be. Of course, it also brings the most advanced safety and infotainment system. But Mercedes also keeps something for optional upgrades.
The coming season will bring the lighter model of the G-Class Mini. It is smaller than its brother and, according to initial reports, is ready to take on the Ford Bronco and its off-road versions.
Specifications
Under the hood of the Mercedes Benz G-Class is a 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 415 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. The advantage of this powertrain is its unique turbocharging. Thanks to the advanced technology, you will feel less lag than with other similar units. A V8 engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all wheels. Off-road capability is one of its hallmarks, while on-road performance is not so mind-blowing. The SUV needs 5.5 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. When you pay more than 100,000 € (Euros) for a car , you won’t care too much about fuel consumption. With so much power, we can’t expect high performance from the G-Class, which returns 16 mpg combined.
The performance can be even more amazing. Upgraded, the same powertrain can bring back 577 ponies and lower the 0-62 mph time to 4.6 seconds. The version appears as Mercedes Benz G-Class AMG 63 and also brings AMG Speedshift transmission with nine gears. Extra power wastes more fuel and lowers mileage to 14 mpg combined. Top speed is limited to 150 mph.
Mercedes Benz G-Class Diesel
Two diesel engines are also available for the vehicle. In both configurations, we see a 3.0-liter inline-six with 280-325 hp and 450-515 lb-ft of torque. Diesel units are not as fast as their petrol siblings. The best 0-62 mph for them is 6.5 seconds, and the top speed of the G400d model is 130 mph. Of course, fuel consumption is much better, but still far from the average for the mid-size segment. Next season, we could see the AMG version of a diesel powertrain.
Features and options
Every season brings something new to the exclusive SUV. The latest refresh brought a few things. However, the YM might get a major upgrade. Genuine leather and exclusive details make the cabin so special. The boxy look offers extra space overhead, although the design is not that aesthetic and you can hear the wind at higher speeds. The dashboard comes with classic air vents in a circle shape. Well, the classic accents end there and the rest of the cabin offers some of the most advanced features in the automotive industry.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are compatible with the MBUX system. The sunroof is standard. The safety highlight is a 360-degree camera. Lane keeping assist is also included and the driver can choose between five driving modes. The exclusive interior package will be available for €12,000 (Euro) and nappa leather is another cool upgrade. Buyers can also make the SUV sportier with special exhaust tips, AMG body styling and unique brake calipers.
Mercedes Benz G-Class Price
The upcoming Mini G-Wagen drops the price below €100,000 (Euro), but it will still be very expensive. We don’t know exactly what options it will offer, but a huge V8 engine will not be part of the package, so the price could be around €70,000 (Euro). Meanwhile, the updated Mercedes Benz G-Class will cost more than €130,000 (Euro) and the AMG tuning makes the SUV one of the most expensive vehicles on the market, with a price tag of around €160,000 (Euro). There aren’t many other SUVs above this mark ( Range Rover SV , Bentley Bentayga , Lamborghini Urus ).
