New Nissan Frontier 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The all-new Nissan Frontier Extended Cab was spied last week. The next-generation Frontier will arrive sometime in , and early spy shots are already available. The famous pickup truck will be redesigned and look refreshed both inside and out. From what we know, the Frontier will employ a 3.8-liter V6, and a nine-speed automatic transmission will also be on offer.
Pick up Nissan Frontier
Frontier is a mid-size pickup truck and the current generation has been present for 15 years. However, the new generation will introduce various upgrades. The spied prototype shows the latest changes and we look at the extended cabin configuration. Sales will start sometime next year, possibly in the second half of the year.
Extended Cab Spy Shots
The Nissan Frontier has been spied in the extended cab trim. Before that, Nissan teased the new Frontier and some of the styling cues are the same in the spy photos. This includes a brand new angular design. The camouflage perfectly hides some parts of the exterior. However, we are definitely looking at the redesigned model with a new body.
The Japanese manufacturer will offer both extended and crew cab configurations. In addition, Frontier will come with short bed and long bed setups. As you know, the extended cabs can have rear doors. However, this particular prototype will only come with front doors. Unlike the crew cab, the extended cab is slightly shorter.
New V6 engine
The upcoming Nissan Frontier Extended Cab will arrive with the new powertrain option. It is a 3.8-liter V6 available in the outgoing model. Potent V6 produces 310 horsepower and up to 280 lb-ft of torque. In addition, a nine-speed automatic transmission is available. This engine replaces a larger 4.0-liter V6.
Many experts say that the two outputs are almost equal in terms of power. However, this is a smaller engine with slightly better fuel economy. Frontier remains a rear-wheel drive truck with the optional all-wheel drive configuration. Nissan will surely offer the famous Pro-4x off-road trim again.
Interior changes
The interior of the Nissan Frontier Extended Cab also features a lot of refreshments. The cabin will be redesigned, which means we should see more premium stuff. In addition, Frontier will offer more high-tech amenities and a higher level of comfort. On the other hand, the interior design should remain intact. Frontier will likely arrive with fewer physical buttons.
Thanks to this, most of the controls are operated via a new and larger touchscreen. Unfortunately, the spy photos do not show any interior details. Nissan will offer three cab configurations and the upper trim levels will gain even more luxury .
Extended Cab Price and Release Date
The upcoming Nissan Frontier Extended Cab will hit dealerships later in . Pricing isn’t available yet, but the regular model should start at around $27,000. The extended cab costs a bit more, and the crew cab configuration remains the most expensive option.
