New Honda Civic 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The 11th generation Honda Civic sedan in prototype format debuted back in November last year, and now the car has finally entered the production lines. The new model has little in common with the pre-reform car, as it has a completely different body design and a fundamentally different interior architecture. Only the technology was inherited, but there were changes here too.

Honda Civic

The main market for the Civic will continue to be the American market, where it is the leader in its class. The assembly of sedans for Europe will be set up at a plant in Alliston (Ontario, Canada). Hatchbacks will be registered in Indiana with a delay of several months. It is interesting that the five-door was previously produced in the UK, but the local enterprise was closed, and then the plant in Turkey will suffer the same fate. That is, now Honda cars will be imported to Europe from America.

Image change

In terms of design, the new Civic has moved away from its predecessor and has become closer to traditional cars of previous generations. Although the developers assure that behind the imaginary restraint there is a driver’s character, and the car is still ready to give thrills. However, the appearance adjusts to a calm mood: in the presence of a long low hood, classic horizontal headlights and a straight sill line. The accentuated ribs on the side walls and the cocky “tail” of the trunk lid make the look a little more exciting.

The dimensions of the sedan have hardly changed. The wheelbase has grown by 36 mm (to 2736 mm) and the overall length by 33 mm (to 4674 mm). At the same time, the width and height have remained the same – 1801 and 1415 mm, respectively. The rear track has been widened by 13 mm.

The body color palette of the “eleventh” Civic includes eight shades, including three new ones – Meteorite Gray Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl and Morning Mist Blue Metallic. There are three wheel sizes – 16 inches (tires 215/55 R16), 17 inches (215/50 R17) and 18 inches (235/40 R18).

The interior of the novelty

The interior of the model has been thoroughly redesigned to improve ergonomics and visibility, as well as the comfort of passenger accommodation. The laconic front section is divided into two zones by a horizontal mesh line that runs from door to door and hides the ventilation deflectors. Air flow regulators are made in an unusual format – in the form of joysticks.

All information screens are located at the top. In the initial trim levels, the car gets a dashboard with a 7-inch display (+ analog speedometer) and a center screen with the same 7-inch. Top Touring models rely on a fully digital 10.2-inch instrument and a 9-inch touchscreen. There is support for wireless integration of gadgets using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto protocols, induction charging of smartphones is available.

The sedan also includes new front seats and Bose speakers with twelve speakers. Responsible for safety is the Honda Sensing complex with an improved camera that has a higher resolution and a wide viewing angle. Even the models have new airbags that, when triggered, “control” the heads of drivers and reduce the risk of head injuries. For the first time, side airbags appeared in the rear row.

Among other innovations, it is worth noting the increased quality of finishing materials. Particular attention was paid to places of constant contact with the passengers’ hands. The sedan’s trunk has slightly decreased in volume and now holds 419 liters instead of 428.

Specifications

The improved Civic remained on the same platform, but the body increased torsional rigidity by 8%. The configuration of the suspensions was retained: front – MacPherson, rear – a multi-link. Many parts of the chassis were replaced and the power steering was reconfigured so that the car could be better controlled.

The engine range of the new products includes the following units:

  • 2.0-liter “aspirated” (160 hp, 187 Nm);
  • 1.5-liter “Turbo Four” (182 hp, 240 Nm).

Both engines are combined with a V-belt variator. The model is front-wheel drive only.
