New Chevrolet Captiva 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Chevrolet Captiva Review – Big news has hit the market with the release of the latest Chevrolet Captiva . Although the release date is still far away , we felt compelled to talk about this car and give a review about it, detailing all the pros and cons of this refresh.
New Chevrolet Captiva
The model will add certain parts and will mostly just update the car without providing a next generation yet. Since the next-gen Captiva was mostly expected this year, we’ll wait a little longer and make do with what Chevrolet decided to grace us with while we wait.
The New Chevrolet Captiva is part of the US commercial lineup launched by Chevy. For the most part, the model sits on top of and drives the segment, thanks to some outstanding engineering and craftsmanship that was done with the original model and the changes brought about by the initial release of this model.
The special thing about this model is that it is available in stores and is shipped directly to a commercial dealer. This actually helps in bulk orders as the local retailer is directly excluded and removed from the equation. The Captiva can be a good replacement for some other Chevy vehicles. People who are used to such Chevrolet Cruze model or Malibu models can easily get used to the Captiva as it includes an AWD that these models do not have. The Equinox car can also be a great replacement for this model as both are offered at the same price. The Chevrolet Equinox is also considered to be one of its biggest competitors and the price may be one of the similarities but there are actually a number of differences that make these two models unique. Read on and see what the differences are and learn the latest specifications of the latest Chevrolet Captiva.
Release date and price
The price is a positive thing for the car as the New Chevrolet Captiva is sold for a price of around €24,350 (Euros) . This is a very affordable offer, especially since it topples the Equinox as it is sold at a very similar price while the Captiva brings a better offer to the table. The Chevrolet Captiva release date is set for next year and the model will be released in the first quarter of .
Available trims
The New Chevrolet Captiva will also be available in its Sport trim, which is not available with the base LS version. Furthermore, the Sport trim is divided into 1LS and 2LS models, with LT and LTZ available, while the later is an all-AWD option.
External changes
The latest New Chevrolet Captiva is indeed a handsome and stylish vehicle. In fact, it has always had these kinds of features and now it is expanding them. The model will be quite customizable on the outside as it offers a range of color patterns and latest parts that will give you more options.
The base version of the Chevrolet Captiva uses the anthracite moldings for the bumpers, which are already scratch resistant. This one is available for the base, but you can actually change it as there are additional options.
There are some extended parts used on this car that look quite premium and actually give the car a much better and more luxurious styling. We are of course talking about the headlight design as it borrows those from Lexus ‘ RX350 model , while the Land Rover – inspired rising swing vertical fender vent is also newly added.
The models look great even in their base version and have a lot of things to be happy about, so there is no need to opt for higher trims if money is an issue. Chevrolet Captiva will continue with standard tinted windows, folding mirrors with extended visibility and 17-inch alloy wheels which are also a suitable option for the model. The car has a shorter length and wheelbase and is much more suitable for urban situations and driving, making it a perfect model for city driving.
Redesign of the interior
The interior of the New Chevrolet Captiva has actually received a lot of attention. This time, the offered MyLink touchscreen infotainment and navigation system, which was previously optional, appears as a standard feature on Captiva. The base level manages to get away with many audio devices stranded even without using the touchscreen option. The standard features in the car are the digital radio display, an auxiliary audio jack input, full USB integration for all mobile devices, Bluetooth voice calling, and a trial membership for satellite radio and OnStar.
Interior comfort is actually much better compared to the Equinox, although some of the features you want are only available on models outside the US market. Still, the dashboard materials are quite durable, while the center stacks add some silver accents. The materials are also quite impressive, giving us a very comfortable and fresh-looking cabin. Cargo space is also one of the Captiva’s advantages, as it comes with a flat (but high) cargo floor to make loading easier.

Engine specifications
The new Chevrolet Captiva will be updated with only one engine option. The release date is not yet set, so there may be more news on the subject. However, expect the 2.4-liter inline-four engine with 182 horsepower to be mounted under the hood of the Captiva. The model is thus capable of 0-100 km per hour acceleration in 9.1 seconds with the FWD and 9.7 seconds with the AWD. With both the AWD and FWD, you get a standard six-speed automatic transmission, which is also part of the setup.
Security
This is where some flaws may arise with the New Chevrolet Captiva as the model has not yet been NHTSA and IIHS tested. In the past, the model had a fairly standard 4-star rating, which was appropriate for the model at hand. The model always lagged behind cars like the Chevy Cruze and the Sonic in the safety space as those models came with a standard set of 10 airbags and the Captiva will only come with 6 and a normal complement of stability and traction controls.
Standard safety features include the StabiliTrak stability control system with traction control, a PASS-Key III theft deterrent system, a tire pressure monitoring system, daytime running lights with automatic lamp control, and a pedal release system.
Our view
The latest New Chevrolet Captiva will have some good things to show, but there are a number of features that will still drive fans away. The styling and comfort ratings, as well as the interior space, are something we will live with and will be happy to see for the most part. Even with the lackluster safety features, this car can still score big. But the car still remains a bit slow and slow for the segment where it needs to add more power to be fully competitive. We still believe it is the top model in its respective field, but it may run into problems if the competition comes back with better offerings of their own.
