New Hyundai Azera 2025: price, interior, picture.
According to a report by Korean Autoblog, the next generation of the New Hyundai Azera (called Hyundai Grandeur in its home market of South Korea) will be a significant step up from the current generation model to maintain its position as Hyundai’s flagship model on sale.
Sedan New Hyundai Azera
While the New Hyundai Azera is currently the flagship, its past was overshadowed by the 2016 Genesis G80. The Azera took the position of a high-end Hyundai, slotting in between the Sonata and G80. Hyundai can refocus on the Azera as Genesis products are integrated into their brand and migrate to dedicated dealers. There is a significant price difference of almost $10,000 between the Genesis and the Sonata (the most expensive Hyundai sedan sold in Europe), a large enough opening for the Azera nameplate to make a comeback, it is said.
In recent years, Hyundai has not given the cars any evolutionary revisions. The next-generation Hyundai Azera should not look like the current Hyundai models, not even the outgoing Grandeur. Staria-inspired front lights and grille and the Ioniq 5 -style combination lamps look attractive, but the actual car could bring a new kind of design to the market.
The upcoming seventh-generation Hyundai Azera (codenamed Hyundai GN7) will reportedly exceed 5 meters in length, a first in the nameplate’s 35-year history. The Azera is currently sold in chauffeur-driven markets such as China, the Middle East, as well as its home market in South Korea and select Southeast Asian countries. Sales are on the rise, with over 2 million units sold since its launch in 1986, and in , the Azera (Grandeur) was the best-selling car in South Korea for the fourth year in a row. The Hyundai sedan stands steadfast despite heavy incoming fire from crossovers that have literally conquered every segment.
Inner
With each redesign, the Azera’s appeal broadens and its target audience gets younger. We don’t see this changing in the next generation, which is expected to include some of the Palisade’s features. These include the VIP package with wing-shaped headrests with integrated Harmon Kardon speakers for the rear passengers, rear entertainment screen, temperature-controlled cupholders, a 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit, air purifier, color head-up display and the Safe Exit Assist, which uses radar to detect traffic approaching from behind and warns the front passenger when the rear door is opened.
The Hyundai Azera Hybrid variant (S.Korea’s best-selling hybrid car) is certainly in the model plan. However, the powertrain details are not yet known. The previous model packs a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with a 38 kW electric motor. The GN7 could use a more powerful version of the Sonata Hybrid’s 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain or even see a turbocharged PHEV variant.
We’ll be keeping an eye on Azera’s progress on this page, so check back later.
‘Leblanc’ – The last hurrah for the current Azera?
Hyundai Motor Company this week unveiled the model year refresh for the Azera in petrol and hybrid variants in South Korea, in what may be the last model year for this generation. A special “Le Blanc” trim level with enhanced safety and comfort specifications was announced in the new lineup.
“Le Blanc” means “white” in French, and a new combination of beige (seat) and black is added to the cabin’s trim for a distinctive look.
