New Nissan Qashqai 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The New Nissan Qashqai crossover is one of the leaders of its segment in the countries of the Old World, so the new generation debuted in the European specification. The third-generation car, shown on February 18, is in many ways an improved version of its predecessor.
New Nissan Qashqai
The advantages of the new items are a more durable and lighter body, modern design, advanced technologies and advanced hybrid systems.
design
During modernization, the SUV retained the same form factor, so it remained absolutely recognizable on the road. However, the changes are tangible in the details. Following the “older” models X-Trail and Pathfinder, the new Qashqai received two-stage headlights with separate blocks of main optics and running lights. The latter are made in the form of thin boomerangs, which compositionally coincide with the proprietary V-Motion grille.
The rear part of the crossover has received new lanterns with three-dimensional graphics, from which stylized stamped parts descend as air ducts. In profile, the car looks reckless and dynamic thanks to the corresponding relief of the side walls and the rising sill line. Large rims up to 20 inches (previously a maximum of 19 diameters) bring sportiness to the look.
The modified CMF-C platform allows for a wider use of lightweight materials in the drive structure. The aluminum doors, fenders and bonnet, as well as the composite rear lid, reduce the body weight by 60 kg. Torsional rigidity increased by 41%. The dimensions of the SUV increased slightly: the length was 35 mm (4425 mm), the width 32 mm (1838 mm), the height 10 mm (1635 mm). The wheelbase is stretched by 20 mm – up to 2666 mm.
For the new Nissan Qashqai model year, a palette of 11 body colors has been prepared. There are also five options for a two-tone color with a contrasting roof. That is, there are a total of sixteen combinations to choose from.
Cabin layout and equipment
The scale of the internal improvements is no less impressive. The front has been completely redesigned – the media center display now sits above the console, below which are the air vents. Below is the compact climate control unit. On the center tunnel at the front there is a platform for wireless charging, closer to the driver – a joystick for controlling the gearbox, which replaces the classic lever.
The standard NissanConnect system screen is nine inches instead of the previous seven. There are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (CarPlay wireless) interfaces, a Wi-Fi hotspot for seven devices and the NissanConnect Services app. USB-A and USB-C ports are present on both the front and rear. Also new is the Kashkai steering wheel with optimized switch layout. Other buttons include buttons for adjusting the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which replaces the traditional analog dashboard. In addition to the virtual instrument cluster, there is a 10.8-inch head-up display with navigator and help systems.
The new Kashkai has many electronic assistants. The most advanced of them is the modified ProPilot autopilot, which can interact with Navi-Link navigation (the function is available only for versions with Xtronic variator). The system is able to drive a car in one lane, react to cars ahead, read data from road signs, and then adjust the speed until a complete stop. If the crossover is stopped for less than three seconds, it starts and continues driving on its own. In addition to the autopilot, the new model received side collision avoidance and interference detection systems when reversing.
The increase in size has made the Qashqai more spacious inside. The extension of the wheelbase has allowed for a larger seat-row distance and an additional 28 mm for the rear drivers’ knees. Headroom in the front and rear has increased by 15 mm. And of course, the boot has been reorganized. Its floor is 20 mm lower and the volume has increased by 74 liters – up to 504 liters.
Specifications
Basic versions of the SUV are offered in a “soft” hybrid format, which combines a 1.3 DiG-T turbo engine, a 12-volt starter generator and a small lithium-ion battery. When equipping this system with a 6-speed manual transmission, power options of 140 hp are available. (240 Nm) and 157 hp. (260Nm). The drive for such cars is exclusively front. If the Xtronic variator is installed paired with the engine, only 157 hp are available at the output. and 270 Nm of thrust. But here you can already choose between front- and all-wheel drive. In addition, the 4WD transmission has been upgraded and now engages five times faster when slipping (in about 0.2 seconds). In total, five driving modes are available: Standard, ECO, Sport, Snow and Off-Road.
The top-of-the-range Nissan Qashqai of the new generation has received a hybrid e-Power installation. It is configured to be powered by a single 190 hp electric motor. (330 Nm), and the petrol combustion engine – a 157 hp 1.5 VC-Turbo with variable compression ratio – is used only to charge the battery. As with the Nissan Leaf, the e-Power performance allows the vehicle to accelerate and decelerate using a single pedal (so-called e-Pedal).
Other innovations in crossover technology include an optimized chassis design and improved electric power steering. The rear twist beam is only fitted to front-wheel drive versions with wheels under 20 inches, the remaining modifications receive a multi-link.
