New Rolls Royce Phantom 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
News about the Rolls Royce Phantom has been floating around for some time, mainly about whether or not the new vehicle will go into production in its concept form. By the looks of things, the new Phantom doesn’t seem to be ready to hit dealerships anytime soon if the recent spy photos are anything to go by.
New Rolls Royce Phantom
Looking at the front fascia of the Mule, it’s easy to see that some elements are obviously missing. The flat design of the fascia indicates that it’s clearly a decoy, and the driving lights that used to sit just below the headlights are still missing. The same goes for the corner vents and air dam, which are noticeably missing in detail.
Moving to the sides of the Phantom, we see the mirrors, body lines and doors compared to the existing model. At the back, the rear trunk lid aligns smoothly with the crease between the body and the rear window. What catches the eye at first glance, however, are the assemblies in the taillights. They appear to be either decoys or units, as those are different on the 2017 model.
Although most of the interior trim is heavily covered and it’s virtually impossible to penetrate anyone, our team of photographers still managed to capture a few images. Not much can be said about the door panels, console and center console as they are identical to those of the current model, but more can be done to improve them before production begins.
The Rolls Royce Phantom is expected to return with an exciting list of new features and trim models that have in one way or another helped it remain competitive in its class. The Rolls Royce Phantom is so exclusive that it embarrasses others with the opulence and heaviness that it has rightfully earned over the years.
According to the latest rumors, the new model is expected to continue using the same engine as before. Under the hood, there should be a 6.7-liter engine capable of producing a whopping 453 horsepower and 531 lbs. ft. of torque. While we are not disparaging that tremendous power and torque, we still hope that an upgrade to around 550 hp and 600 lbs. can be much better.
This model year saw the discontinuation of the Rolls-Royce Drop-Head Coupe after having been celebrated in opulence and grandeur for the past decade. The Drophead Coupe and all Phantoms symbolize luxury, wealth and sophistication in a way that very few vehicles can. There is no better way to tell the whole world that you have made it than by gifting yourself one of these models.
For a price that will set you back in the half-million range, these models not only offer you swathes of some of the finest materials, top-notch performance, and enough gravitas for road use, but they also come across as a passive show of sophistication, luxury, and wealth. But even though it’s as luxurious as it seems, the Rolls Royce Phantom still has some competitors, especially when it comes to pricing. One that stands tall among them is the Bentley Mulsanne.
The Bentley Mulsanne will receive few upgrades for the new model year and is well placed to compete against the vehicle under review. Currently, the Mulsanne produces an incredible power output of around 505 hp and a whopping 780 lb. ft. of torque from its 6.75L V8 engine. With the expected upgrade, the Bentley should easily be able to reach the 520 hp power range. The Bentley compares well in terms of pricing when compared to the Phantom. Currently, only a price of €290,000 (Euros) separates them.
The other option that one could also consider is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, which impresses with its list of desirable features such as seemingly endless safety and comfort features, exceptionally smooth ride quality, incredibly controlled handling, powerful engines, and effortless acceleration.

No details were offered here, but we expect the new vehicle to not exceed the current price of $549,000 MSRP. As you can also assume, the release date is still a mile away and is anyone’s guess at this point. However, details should start streaming in a couple of months, including those of the Extended Wheelbase model.
Our final thoughts
Judging by the latest images, there doesn’t seem to be much that could be considered evolutionary. However, Rolls has gone to great lengths to conceal both the front and rear fascias, and that alone tells us that some sort of styling refresh is in store here. Our spy photographers have already been able to share some glimpses of what we should expect to see as new. That said, we don’t think the Rolls Royce Phantom will offer anything electrifying this year.
Engine specifications and performance
As we said, the new model will return with the same powertrain as before. In this case, the 6.7L V12 engine that currently powers the existing Phantom should return. This mill is capable of producing a whopping 453 horsepower and 531 lb. ft. of torque. Top speed remains at 150 mph, but this should improve once the Phantom moves to the new lighter architecture that is rumored to be in the works.
External modifications and interior changes
According to Rolls, the new Rolls Royce Phantom is expected to be much lighter than before. This alone should allow the Phantom to have sufficient maneuverability and improve overall performance. Other interesting features we should expect include a larger infotainment system and a high-resolution digital instrument cluster.
Just like the previous model, the Rolls Royce Phantom Wraith features a sea of exotic materials that exceed any standard of opulence. Thanks to the connection between BMW and Rolls-Royce, much of the navigation and infotainment electronics should be user-friendly and impressive, and a general derivation of the iDrive infotainment system.
