New Subaru BRZ 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The aging sports car will be revamped by the incarnation of the Subaru BRZ. This model was jointly developed by Subaru and Toyota to create a rear-wheel drive sports car. The cars they managed to produce were the GT86 and the BRZ model. But since then, they haven’t cared so much about the model, so it was time for the brand to get some newness and bring it back into the race.

Subaru BRZ

The cars will receive a significant makeover for this updated version. The base model will receive some pretty new-looking details while the Limited line will see extended changes to its design. But along with the exterior, the interior has also been shaped well. The luxurious-looking interior has received some very comfortable details with a number of features that make it a very suitable model compared to before.

This is just one flavor of what the Subaru BRZ has to offer, but there is so much more that can happen. Our review will help you with the details so you can know what the model will look like for the future. The images have been available for some time and Subaru has announced that they are preparing for a 2017 release date. The price has also already been made available, so we believe the car is close.

When can we expect the release date for the Subaru BRZ?

The new Subaru BRZ is scheduled for a release in mid- or late . At the moment, the model has not revealed the details about its release date, but we are looking at a possible presentation pretty soon. Since all the details about the car are mostly already available, it is very likely that we will see the model soon.

What is the price of the Subaru BRZ?

The price list for the Subaru BRZ and all its trims is already available. Three versions of the car are offered, with the 2.0 Premium car being the entry-level model, available at a price of €25,495 (Euros). The next in line is the 2.0 Limited, which can be priced at either $27,645 or $28,745, depending on the transmission choice. Finally, the most expensive is the 2.0 Series Yellow, a limited edition model that costs €29,695 (Euros).

What will the external updates be?

Although the Subaru BRZ has been updated, it does not change significantly from the current styling. The car has gained some new details for the exterior and the model does not go too far beyond its current shape. The front end features the same designs for the hood and grille, with only the headlights and front fascia changed. Various corner vents have been added to the latter part, while the former gets new LEDs.

The same goes for the sides and rear of the car. Perhaps the most noticeable change is the addition of the 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. At the rear, we have a body-colored rear spoiler with full LED taillights. The same type of side skirts remains with a diffuser and all other exterior parts. Even if we expect a more aggressive approach with this version, they are saving it for the future models to come. Most of the changes missed here will probably be seen on the upcoming next-generation car.

Interior changes

Although the interior of the Subaru BRZ shares many of the same features as last year, there are a few changes to be excited about. The base trim remains mostly the same in terms of style, but the Premium and Limited trims have received some nice and exclusive updates. This includes a simulated leather insert with red stitching for the dashboard that matches the rest of the interior. Premium models get a leather steering wheel with red stitching and Bluetooth controls.

The Limited also gets Alcantara seat inserts and simulated leather with red stitching. It also now has a 4.2-inch color display that serves as the driver information system. The instrument cluster is wrapped in simulated leather, and there is a red embroidered BRZ logo on the back of both front seats.

The changes here are limited, but honestly we didn’t have a bad cabin to begin with. The BRZ perhaps has a better cabin than most of its competitors, and we felt it already served its purpose well, hence the minimal changes.

Powertrain and engine specifications

The powertrain is where the Subaru BRZ has changed the most. The 2.0-liter boxer engine has been modified a bit and thanks to the work of the engineers, they have now managed to increase friction reduction. Also modified are the redesigned camshaft, new cylinder heads and new valves. This results in an increase in power of 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet in total, while models with a six-speed automatic transmission have an output of 200 ponies and 151 pound-feet of twist.

0-62 mph per hour capability

The specifications for the Subaru BRZ have not been fully released, but we have some specifications available. Automatic-equipped models have an acceleration capability of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 143 mph. Models with a six-speed manual transmission jump to 0-62 mph in 6.6 seconds and also have a top speed of 141 mph.

Fuel consumption specifications

The new fuel economy specs of the Subaru BRZ have not been released yet. But we see them improving slightly with other stats of the car. The previous ones were 21 mpg city, 29 highway, 24 combined with the manual transmission, while the automatic had an EPA rating of 24/33/27 mpg. The model has done a great job with its powertrain, so fuel economy will likely see some improvements as well.

Dimensions and size

The dimensions of the Subaru BRZ will not change. The model will be 166.7 inches long, with a wheelbase of 101.2 inches, a height of 50.6 inches and a width of 69.9 inches. The passenger volume inside will still offer 80 cu ft and a cargo space of 7 cu ft, which have not improved, but really do not need to, as the model already has good sizes.

Safety equipment

The new Subaru BRZ will set several standard forms of protection. One of them is Subaru’s ring-shaped reinforcement body structure, which helps every Subaru product protect its passengers and makes it much safer for the people inside. All seats have three-point belts, seat belt claims and seat belt force limiters. Some types of equipment to protect the driving people include Subaru’s advanced frontal airbag system with two-stage deployment and front side/torso airbags and side curtain airbags. All trims have stability control and traction control in five modes, while Premium models come with hill start assist and a rearview camera, while the Limited models have a security system.

Competing models

As part of the lineup that the Subaru BRZ will face, there are many established vehicles in the market. The cars that will be seen in the market will be great rivals for the BRZ. The most to consider are the Mazda MX-5 Miata and the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
