Nissan Ariya 2025: New Electric Crossover With Japanese Futurism.
Nissan announced the release of the new electric crossover back in 2017, when the IMx show car was shown at the Tokyo Auto Show. A few years later, the concept that was as close as possible to the production version debuted in the capital of Japan. And now, finally, the final version of the model, called Nissan Ariya , is being presented.
Sales start and price
In Europe, a new electric car from the Nissan brand will appear approximately in mid- and early . Then the crossover sales geography will expand. The main question for us is whether the new Nissan Aria will be released in Russia? According to unofficial information, yes, but it is too early to talk about the exact timing of the start of deliveries. Prices and configurations have not yet been announced.
Exterior design features
The appearance of the new battery model Ariya, according to the developers, is made in the style of “Japanese futurism”. This concept involves a combination of simple shapes and athletic surfaces. At the same time, the front retains the corporate design of V-motion, albeit reinterpreted. The electric crossover does not have the classic grille, instead a smooth decorative panel is installed, under which the traditional Japanese kumiko ornament is hidden. The backlit panel is combined with slim LED headlights equipped with four 20 mm mini spotlights. In the center there is an updated brand logo with 20 LEDs that light up simultaneously with the main lighting.
The most striking detail at the rear is the horizontal garland of lights across the entire width of the body. When switched off, it is black and blends in with the surrounding decor; when switched on, it takes on a red color.
In profile, the crossover looks as dynamic and elegant as possible. The sporty character of the model is emphasized by the aggressive roofline, inflated sidewalls, short overhangs and large wheels. As standard, the car is equipped with 19-inch wheels with 235/55 R19 tires, and 20-inch wheels with 255/45 R20 tires are available as an option. A contrasting black roof is a must for a Japanese electric car.
The coupe-like silhouette somewhat conceals the dimensions of the Nissan Ariya, making the SUV seem more compact than it actually is. The specific figures are as follows: length – 4595 mm, width – 1850 mm, height – 1660 mm. The wheelbase is 2775 mm.
Architecture and interior design
The EV platform, specifically designed for electric vehicles, has created one of the most spacious cabins in its class. Solid legroom for rear passengers is created not only by the long undercarriage and flat floor, but also by the use of narrow Zero Gravity seats. Up front, the air conditioning system relocated under the hood leaves more space.
The front panel in the cabin of the new Nissan Ariya is designed in a minimalist style. The main feature here is the climate buttons integrated into the lining. They only become visible after the ignition is switched on and react to the push of a button with a characteristic vibration. The driver receives information from two combined displays (central and tidy), each 12.3 inches in size. The standard multimedia system supports wireless updating (4G module is available) and voice command recognition. A color head-up display is available as an option.
The massive console between the front seats, which houses the transmission control panel, among other things, is adjustable. Its position can be saved in a profile so that it automatically moves to the right place on subsequent journeys. A sliding table is hidden under the console, which transforms the crossover into a mobile office when required.
The model’s equipment list also includes keyless entry, a sunroof and soft ambient lighting. Active safety devices are combined in the Nissan Safety Shield complex, and the ProPILOT autopilot is the most advanced assistant. In selected markets, the vehicle will be equipped with an advanced parking service ProPILOT Park, which is able to independently find a free parking space and park a car there.
The volume of the luggage compartment of the Nissan Ariya electric car depends on the version. In front-wheel drive versions, the cargo space holds up to 468 liters, and in all-wheel drive versions – up to 415 liters.

The electric crossover Nissan Aria is offered in five versions: two front-wheel drive and three all-wheel drive (e-4orce). Versions 2WD have one motor, 4WD – two (one on each axle).
The suspension of the new Nissan Ariya is completely independent (rear – multi-link). Changing the drive settings is carried out using a switch that allows you to choose between three modes – standard, sport and ECO (all-wheel drive vehicles will receive another Snow mode).
A liquid-cooled traction battery installed underground. The smaller capacity battery is equipped with a 7.4 kW charger, a larger one – 22 kW (three-phase network). It is also possible to charge energy at a 130 kW DC terminal.
Price Nissan Ariya
The price of the new Nissan Ariya on the European market starts at 35,000 euros. This is the price of the Base S trim level. The SV trim level costs 36,000 euros, the SL trim level costs 40,000 euros.
