Nissan Armada 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The Nissan Armada lacks the popularity of its domestic rivals and doesn’t offer a long-wheelbase model, but savvy buyers will be surprised by its luxury . The three-row Nissan ‘s independent rear suspension is no longer a rarity in the segment, but its ride is still one of the quietest and smoothest. Its quiet, comfortable cabin also contributes to its unexpectedly upscale vibe, even if some elements look a bit dated.
SUV Nissan Armada
The fanciest, if most expensive, Platinum trim makes up for this with an interior worthy of a true luxury ute. Each model comes with a number of desirable infotainment and active safety features. With a potent 400-horsepower V-8 under the hood and a well-behaved automatic transmission, the Armada moves confidently and with aplomb. Unfortunately, the engine suffers from terrible fuel economy, and the big SUV can wander at highway speeds. Still, the Nissan Armada’s charming features make up for its imperfections.
What’s new ?
After a nice redesign and a handful of new tech features for the past model year, the Nissan Armada gets the smallest of updates. The only addition is a one-touch power-folding third row, but this new feature is exclusive to the top-of-the-line Platinum trim.
We think the SL trim is the best value. Along with all the desirable standard features it inherits from the base SV model, it comes with a 13-speaker Bose audio system, 20-inch rims, leather upholstery, a power liftgate, remote start, and a sunroof. The SL also unlocks the optional second-row captain’s chairs, which we’d add.
Engine, transmission and performance
A powerful 5.6-liter V-8 with a civilized seven-speed automatic transmission is the Armada’s sole powertrain. The engine makes up to 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel. It pairs with either rear – or four-wheel drive, and each model can tow 8,500 pounds. We haven’t tested an Armada with the extra power on the track, but we have driven one and appreciated its effortless thrust. Despite its large proportions, the Armada handled surprisingly well thanks to its independent suspension, but its handling does n’t hold a candle to the nimble Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon .
Our test vehicle drove smoothly and quietly despite rolling on 22-inch wheels (18-inch wheels are standard). Its soft ride didn’t negatively affect our sense of control, but its steering was imprecise and slow to respond, allowing the SUV to wander down the highway like a member of its Spanish namesake. Along with impressive results in our emergency braking test, the Nissan’s brake pedal delivered good feel and consistent feedback.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
All Armadas are powered by the same V-8 engine and automatic transmission, a combination that makes the Nissan less fuel efficient than most of its competitors. The EPA estimates that the rear-wheel-drive version will earn 14 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway. Adding all-wheel drive into the mix reduces both numbers by 1 mpg. Once we can drive one on our 75-mph fuel-economy route, part of our extensive testing program, we’ll be able to evaluate its real-world mpg. Interior, comfort and cargo
A comfortable and spacious interior complements the Armada’s classy exterior. Its cabin is well insulated from outside noise, and most materials are attractive and soft. The Armada has three rows of seats and can accommodate up to eight passengers, but capacity drops to seven with the optional second-row captain’s chairs. These fold easily and quickly with a handle that springs the seat forward; however, resetting the seat must be done manually.
The electrically folding third row (standard from SL onwards) can be adjusted using buttons in the cargo area or on the armrests of the third row, but snails move faster. Even compared to newer rivals, the Armada feels chic and offers plenty of legroom in the third row. The top model Platinum underlines the luxury SUV ambience with quilted seats and decorative elements made of open-pore wood.
Infotainment and connectivity
Every Armada features a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with rotary controls for volume and tuning. Sprouting from the top of the center stack, the unit comes with built-in navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio (subscription required), standard Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless smartphone charging. The mid-range SL model features a 13-speaker Bose audio system, and the top-of-the-line Platinum trim adds a rear-seat entertainment system with two 8.0-inch screens.
Safety and driver assistance functions

Price Nissan Armada
The base Nissan Armada S starts at 41,000 euros. The mid-range SV trim starts at 52,900 US dollars, and the higher-end SL model starts at 47,500 euros. The top-of-the-line Platinum model starts at 55,000 euros. All-wheel drive is a 2,500-euro option for all four trims. A destination fee of 1,250 euros applies to all Armada models.
