Nissan Juke 2025: Model update without radical redesign and improvement of hybrid technology.
The new release date for this Nissan Juke will not be much different from this year’s model. A complete redesign is not necessary because the model is still very young and this year’s model already has a new platform, more economical engines and a modernized interior.
Nissan Juke
As of the new version, we expect a similar version to the latest one, but with different interior and exterior. In terms of engine, it will be more superior given the latest improvements in hybrid technology.
Update: If you choose the latest Nissan Juke, you will surely enjoy it. What the latest model will carry over from the previous model is the fact that this model will still give us a perfect ride. The model is fun and funky and makes driving the same.
The version still gives you what the previous Juke had. It has been improved over the years and it seems that they are now in a place where they always wanted to be. It is an urban crossover model that is a little smaller but not too small. Actually, we can say that it is just the right amount of small. On the other hand, it looks beefy and has the elements of an SUV. However, this is just for aesthetics as the car has no off-road capability to speak of.
With the latest news about the Nissan Juke, some updated information has been released and we present it to you here so that you understand what to expect from this model.
Release date and price
Since the release is far away and there are no official dates, we can assume that the release date of the Nissan Juke will be around February , and expect a strong campaign in the summer of 2017. The price of the Nissan Juke will descend from 20,000 to 30,000 € (Euro), depending on the model chosen, and it will be higher if you choose additional equipment for your model.
Update: When the Nissan Juke was announced, many of you immediately wondered when the vehicle would be released. The latest update confirms that the vehicle is still scheduled to be released in early . Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see it until late January. The release date is expected to be mid-February .
Design
As we said, the entire platform has been changed recently, and we believe that the exterior of the Nissan Juke will continue to look good no matter what. The sport lines are all over the vehicle and it may look a bit “over the top” in some areas. Don’t get me wrong, I like it, but there is something on the front that reminds me of an insect’s head. It’s modern, but this front fascia with V-shaped grille, new headlights with LED daytime running lights and wide body is unlike anything on the current market.
Designers work really hard to create a sporty look in whatever trim level you choose. They even placed the rear door handle high up on the side of the door and it gives the impression of a three-door sports coupe rather than a four-door compact SUV.
They have slightly changed the lower headlights, which may be more in line with the photos rendered based on the Nissan Gripz concept than they currently are. The design is pretty good, but it’s just round and it needs a little more edginess to combine the overall look of the vehicle. That curve under the grille is awesome, but the mask above the light needs some work or just the shape. They had the idea to make it look like a real car and they did it perfectly, but there’s something wrong.
LED indicators will retain their original location on the “heated” side mirrors. Taillights will also retain the current boomerang shape with a small change in length. The top line of the redesigned headlights will continue further to the doors for a more cohesive look.
Or Nissan could boldly transfer the entire 2015 Nissan Gripz concept to the new Nissan Juke. That would make this car the most desirable car in the world. Trust me.
inner space
The Nissan Juke interior will not feel much different from the current version of the car. The interior is already well-made and suitable for any driver. From the cheapest to the most expensive version, the materials for seats and some technical equipment will change.
Seats range from premium cloth Nissan Juke S and Nissan Juke SV and heated and ventilated leather seats Nissan Juke SL to synthetic suede sport seats Nissan Juke NISMO and Nissan Juke NISMO RS.
The rest of the equipment consists of a better audio system, rear camera, special tachometer from JUKE NISMO RS, interior in different colors and more. In all models, the interior is made special, with a specially designed space between the seats that now resembles some motorcycle cues, soft-trimmed instrument panels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, SiriusXM satellite radio and Nissan Intelligent Key with push-button ignition.
engine
Some of the sources mention a completely new lineup for the Nissan Juke Engine. The new forecast mentions four versions, while for current models we only have two. New engines are:
- 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 200bhp;
- 1.6-litre direct-injection petrol engine (or 1.6-litre four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve turbocharged)
- 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo engine (much weaker version than the one intended for the Nissan ZEOD RC)
- 1.5-liter three-cylinder hybrid DIG-T R combined with an electric motor. This formula was used in the aforementioned Nissan ZEOD RC at Le Mans. Of course, they will make some adjustments to make it weaker, because nobody needs 400 hp and an engine that weighs only 40 kg.
And there is another option for the hybrid powertrain that was introduced with the Nissan Gripz concept, which is one of the most beautiful looking concepts by the way. I think I’ve said this before, but some things need to be repeated to make this a reality. The most beautiful concept…
Update: We previously learned that the Nissan Juke will continue to use the same 1.6-liter inline-four. But even though it’s the same engine, it has a different power output. The updates that the engine has undergone include reshaped pistons that have helped increase the compression ratio, which has gone up from 9.5:1 to 10.5:1. The internal friction and weight have also been changed. The iron liners are no longer used and the model will now feature spray-coated and highly polished cylinder bores. It helps with the weight of the engine and also manages to give the vehicle a different kind of power.
Gearbox selection for the Nissan Juke
Although many of you were hoping that the Nissan Juke would get new options for its transmission, the model is left with only a single transmission choice. Until 2014, Nissan Juke came with a six-speed manual transmission and there are still engine options that could support this system. But the designers decided against it and we are left with only the choice of a CVT transmission. Fans who were hoping for a change might be disappointed, but this confirms the fact that the vehicle is only available in this unique version.
Cargo and interior clearance
News about the size of the Nissan Juke also says that we will not get any increase in size. This will be especially bad for the people who will be riding in the back. The front end of the car offers enough space for two full-grown people to ride easily. When it comes to the back of the car, it remains as tight as ever. The designees saw no need to change the dimensions of the car, so it will still be tight in the back seats. The cargo area offers 0.5 cubic feet of cargo space, which can be expanded to 35.9 cubic feet when the seats are moved.
The latest Nissan Juke is one of the most popular models in this segment and we are already predicting big sales for it. It is likely to remain in the top 10 of the list when it comes to sales in the compact segment. Our refresh will help you see the latest date for this car. Nissan Juke Summary
The all-new Nissan Juke will either come in the skin of the 2015 Gripz concept, which is obviously meant to look like Juke, or if the Nissan isn’t bold enough, they’ll stick to the current formula. Change a little here and there and you have a new model. Although it’s too early for the complete redesign, we’ve only had the current model for six years.
