Nissan Maxima 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

For those of you who expect changes for every new model release, here’s what to expect from the rebranded Nissan Maxima – None! And if so, they’re too negligible to warrant any attention. The only change the new Maxima gets is the addition of a few features to the Apple CarPlay set. Other than that, prospective buyers should expect some visual updates.

Nissan Maxima

Whether the Nissan Maxima has changed or not, most consumers would be happy to buy it in its current form. The Maxima is a step above the typical family sedan thanks to its exciting, stylish and refined demeanor. And it sweetens the deal by offering these incredible features at a reasonable price. On top of that, it scores points with sharp driving dynamics, plenty of features for the money, user-friendly controls and an appointment.

Any buyer shopping for a family sedan is likely looking for groups of models that offer things like price, performance, size, and features offered. While very few vehicles are able to intricately balance these features without asking for a lot and sacrificing other outstanding features, the Nissan Maxima manages to seamlessly integrate these features into a single desirable package.

While we’d love to recommend the Maxima in this highly competitive market, we still have issues with the 2017 model version, and we recommend buyers first check out some of their alternatives before bowing to the new Maxima option. Available options include the Chevrolet Impala, Nissan Altima, and the Honda Accord. So, Maxima versus Altima – although the two vehicles compete in two different categories in terms of size and price. The Maxima might be shorter on the outside, the Altima wins the day when it comes to interior space.

Things get interesting when you compare the Maxima to the Accord. Although the two are the same size, the Maxima costs an additional 10k more. Even with a fully loaded Accord EX-L model, the Accord would be an affordable option over a Maxima. Comparing apples to apples, we find the Accord to be the best option for buyers in this category, or at least better than the Maxima.

The Chevrolet Impala is another desirable option for buyers looking to own a family sedan. The Chevrolet Impala is an excellent option for buyers looking for tons of features and plenty of interior space. Tall adults will find it comfortably comfortable thanks to its good dimensions. Again, the Chevrolet Impala scores highly in the trunk with 18.8 cu. ft.

Therefore, since we expect the Nissan Maxima to return unchanged in , buyers should expect five trim models: S, SV, SR, SL, and Platinum. Buyers unhappy with what is offered as standard equipment may need to purchase the available packages. One exciting package that was available on the exciting model is the Medallion Edition package, which brings interior accent lighting, 18-inch wheels, a “premium” rear spoiler, and exterior ground lighting.

Price and release date

The arrival for the Nissan Maxima should be expected sometime later this year in 2017, according to trusted websites – in November to be precise. As a carryover model, we do not expect a significant change in price, so buyers should set aside around €33,000 (Euro) for the cheapest model and around €40,000 (Euro) for the top-of-the-range model. Prices here include the destination fee.

Interior Changes & Exterior Redesign

The interior is plush, comfortable and loaded with premium features. But of course, the premium price gets the credit for that. Passengers on board are surrounded by high-quality materials at almost all major touchpoints. The seats are comfortable, supportive and, based on the teaser photos available online, feature Nissan’s “Zero Gravity” functionality. To be honest, we didn’t find them to be as comfortable as those in the Altima.

The Maxima offers plenty of features both standard and optional. The updated Apple CarPlay option offers intuitive, easy-to-use functionality. Rumor has it that the Maxima 3.5R Platinum goes a step further in terms of features, and buyers should expect slight upgrades to the available options.

On the outside, buyers should expect the new model to evolve unchanged. This means it will still display the same visual elements as the existing model. However, rumor mills have been surprisingly quiet on the Nissan Maxima Nismo model. Nissan should be expected to offer further insight into whether or not the Nismo has evolved later this year.

What’s under the hood of the Nissan Maxima?

At the heart of the Maxima is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 300 horsepower and 261 lb. ft. of torque. Pairing it with the drivetrain is a CVT system. The FWD system is standard. The vehicle should be able to jump from zero to 60 miles in just 6.1 seconds. Fuel economy is rated at 21/30 mpg for city/highway cruising.

Government crash tests

In terms of safety, the new Nissan Maxima gets a five-out-of-five score for overall safety. Again, it received the top rating from the IIHS for seat/head restraints, roof strength, side impact, and the moderate- and small-overlap frontal offset impact tests.

Our statement

In conclusion, the Nissan Maxima is a great choice for buyers seeking driving inspiration due to its sporty, commendable grip and controlled body movements that equate to an improved and better option for the typical family sedan. However, we found that the Maxima has unusual steering behavior and effort, and the SR trim model makes things worse with its firm ride quality. As a result, we would approach the SR option with great caution.

The other annoying thing about the Maxima is the price. As mentioned above, Maxima can prove to be an expensive option for buyers in some areas. In this regard, we strongly recommend buyers to test drive the Altima first.
