Nissan Micra 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The new modern look of the future Nissan Micra has both stunned and amazed us. In any case, this is a good look for the car as the outdated bubbly design has finally been swapped for something more fitting and modern.

Nissan Micra

Micra has had the same styling for some time and people are starting to get tired of it so it was necessary to change it. What they did is what you can see in the pictures. A car that will be a bigger competitor in the market thanks to its new and contemporary look.

The original Nissan Micra was manufactured in Japan in 1982. It was one of the pioneers of the supermini segment and was primarily intended to compete against models from Honda and Toyota such as the City and Starlet cars. Additionally, the then-popular Nissan Cherry was becoming too big for the segment so they had to find a suitable replacement. Thus, the Micra managed to spawn four generations of models over its course, but they have maintained a similar shape throughout their existence. Now it’s finally time for things to change.

The latest Nissan Micra has already made an appearance at the Paris Motor Show. You probably already know what it looks like, but we have more details in our review that might interest you. Not only have they changed the external appearance, which was paramount in the creation of the car, but they have also added newer technologies inside. Two powertrains are also offered. When is the release date for the Nissan Micra set?

The latest Nissan Micra is expected to hit the market very soon. In fact, we can probably see the model appear in the middle of the year. The presentation was done quite early, so the appearance of the car on the market for sale will not take too long. The vehicle will start sales in Japan, but will also move to the respective global markets a few months later.

What will the price be?

Currently we only have the European market price of the Nissan Micra. Since this car is designed and built at the Fiat factory in France, the first available price comes from the Euro market. This brings us to a starting price of £11,995 as indicated for now.

The redesign of the Nissan Micra

The latest Nissan Micra has surprised everyone with its new take on the car’s exterior. It’s been a while and the spy photos of the car that were released only prepared us for things to come. The model looked pretty ready for a new design that was in the pipeline. Once the camouflage was off, we saw a new V-Motion grille with a large grille underneath that is integrated into the insert. The hood comes with muscular and aggressive body lines. They go straight into the fenders, thus emphasizing the car’s profile. The headlights are shorter but redesigned, and there are repositioned and fashionable lights at the front.

The side of the car also looks quite different and continues from the front. It balances the car pretty well and continues the overall new theme of the vehicle. The rear end shows us a very hot look. We see various commanding body lines and the car has a lot of character at the back. The taillights are designed in 3D while the reverse lights are integrated into the lights themselves. The lower part of the rear fascia has horizontal vents and a wide black insert. All in all, the new additions make the Nissan Micra unrecognizable compared to the previous model as they forego the rounded look.

Interior updated

The interior of the Nissan Micra has received a matching refresh for the exterior. It blends together pretty well and looks pretty good. The concept combines orange accents that add better and higher quality materials that you see inside and everything tightens up pretty well. The layout has changed and is mainly due to the new technology and better controls that have been added. The car makes such that the use of new technology only becomes an advantage for the car and they manage to be successful there.

The seating position has been improved but it doesn’t affect the pitch. This is a subcompact car segment we’re talking about so you wouldn’t expect to get too much space. It helps with the comfort rates and we get a much better interior, thanks to the materials, but the pitch is still like the previous model. The rear seats weren’t mentioned as much and they didn’t include as many pictures from the back, but if we’re to guess the styling of the front ones, we expect a very sporty and much more aggressive look.

New powertrain options

There are still things that are not confirmed about the Nissan Micra and its powertrains. However, what we were able to find out is that the car made its debut with two options, the three-cylinder 0.9-liter petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel. The engines produce 90 hp each. It was also said that a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine will be added to the lineup and will also be available and will be capable of producing 73 hp.

0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed

In fact, the specifications of the Nissan Micra have not been officially announced yet. It will take some time for the information to be ready, but we know in a way that the car will not be too impressive. So the acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour is not that fast and we can see that it happens in about 12 seconds and a top speed of about 100 mph is quite enough for the vehicle of this size.

Fuel consumption rates

The fuel consumption rates for the Nissan Micra are perhaps the biggest mystery right now. They haven’t informed us about the fuel consumption of this car, but it can’t be much worse than what we have. The vehicle doesn’t consume much fuel and has a regular rate for its segment. This segment is designed to help you save fuel and not consume too much. It will surely make up for that. More about fuel consumption will be released soon.

Dimensions

The size of the Nissan Micra has not changed that much. The appearance has been designed in a completely different matter and we appreciate this and see it as a huge step forward. The new dimensions are 3999 mm, 1743 mm width and 1455 mm height.

New safety equipment for the Nissan Micra

As part of the Nissan Micra refresh comes a very high level of technology followed by new safety features. The car will come with new technology such as departure prevention which is a first in this segment. We will also see other equipment such as autonomous braking with pedestrian detection, around view monitor, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition and a blind spot warning system, all of which will be part of the latest safety package.

What are the competing cars?

The new Nissan Micra will change the face of the supermini segment. The old Micra became very old for the market and failed to stand out from other cars. But with the new look and the way the model is evolving, models like the Ford Fiesta and Honda Jazz will have to up their game to remain competitors.
