debuted, it quickly became one of the most popular options and a better redesign of a beloved brand. The new modern look worked out very well for the Murano and was mainly thanks to the components it shares with the Maxima model.

The announcement of the version of the Nissan Murano brings us, above all, the same. It is still the same type of car, but with several improvements. The futuristic and bold style of its predecessor is maintained, as is the classy interior that the car had before. There are also the four trim options that the previous one had, but this time two hybrid options are also added. But even with the base option, we get a lot of features that are designed to influence comfort and improve our ride.

We consider the Nissan Murano refresh to be a surprisingly pleasing ant. Even though not much has been done, it is still enough to keep the car competitive in the market for a while longer. The redesigned redesign also offers us a long list of new amenities and some standard features that the previous car did not have. After the pictures of the Nissan Murano showed us what to expect on the surface, this way we review the car much more in depth.

What is the price we can expect?

The price of the Nissan Murano will not change much. We’ll start with the base S trim, which is offered for $29,740 MSRP. The next in line is the SV, which is offered for $32,820. The SL costs $37,130, and the Platinum costs $39,180, or $40,780 with AWD.

Dimensions and trunk capacity

The Nissan Murano is still part of the third generation of cars, so it does not change the shape and dimensions of the car compared to the current offering. The vehicle has a full length of 192.8 inches and a wheelbase of 111.2 inches. The height of the car reaches up to 66.6 inches and the width is 75.4 inches. Inside, passengers can enjoy all the comfort they can with a volume of 108 cu-ft, while the trunk capacity reaches 40 cu ft.

New cool look that is firmly based on the old one

The new look of the Nissan Murano has a design that is firmly based on the current one. It is actually one of the more expensive and also very elegant designs on the market. It combines the angels and the swoopy lines just right while adding a V-motion grille. The grille combines chrome and black elements and looks more exclusive this way. Stylized headlights with LED running lights and fog lights are also added here. The wheel arches also have a black trim and make the car look more masculine this way. There is a chrome trim that is added to separate the black trim. This way the body panels are separated from each other while at the same time allowing the other parts to be customized with the same chrome.

The Murano’s beltline has a unique look that you wouldn’t find in this segment. The roofline fits this idea very well and combines very well with the side of the car. The lines go through everything and come to the small rear window, which is actually much larger when you look at it. The Platinum trim is the only one that offers 20-inch wheels as well as aluminum alloy wheels and is painted black.

Inside the Nissan Murano

The interior is drastically different from the exterior of the Nissan Murano. The interior is much more restrained and toned down than the exterior. The vehicle features the Zero Gravity seats that are matted with premium materials and a heated steering wheel. The center stack also houses the NissanConnect infotainment system that has all the essentials for entertainment. Below we see the climate controls that are easy to use. In fact, the entire button layout is designed to be very easy and very natural to use.

The passengers in the second row of the vehicle have plenty of space to be comfortable. There is a bench that allows access for three people and fold-down armrests also offer better comfort. USB ports allow passengers to use their devices for more entertainment. The cargo space is also one of the advantages that this car brings as it is enormous and you can easily pack for a fairing.

Under the hood

If we look under the hood of the Nissan Murano, we will see a familiar engine. So, we will see the 3.5-liter V-6 in it and one of the biggest advantages of this engine is its aluminum design, which reduces the weight of the car and allows for better production. The power is 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque, which is also quite good power for the segment. The choice of transmission also falls on the already known CVT, which offers a wider gear ratio.

0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed

The acceleration and engine data of the Nissan Murano are carried over. This time, no improvements have been made and, in fact, it is not necessary. The model may add another engine with the future generations, but for now, a time of 7.3 seconds to reach 0-62 mph per hour and a maximum speed of 119 mph are enough.

Fuel consumption specifications

The fuel economy of the Nissan Murano is quite stable. It will not leave us with an empty tank anytime soon and the model is appreciated in some respects to save a little fuel. The combined EPA rating is 24 mpg, with highway consumption being 28 mpg and city consumption being 21 mpg.

Safety equipment

The new Nissan Murano will protect the passengers and driver with a dose of active and passive equipment. The active ones include some additions like Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Cruise Control and Forward Emergency Braking, all of which are included in the Technology Package but also come as standard. The optional options are Blind Spot Warning, Traction Control, Stability Control and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The passive safety equipment has some standard offerings like side airbags for the front passengers and side curtain airbags. For the second row passengers, LATCH posting is offered in all three positions.

Competitors in the segment

The Nissan Murano will have a lot of competing cars to choose from. But its base has already been established and from here on out it will only become clearer for the Murano. Models like the Ford Edge and the Kia Sorento are still cars in this segment and potentially strong competitors as well.
