Nissan is preparing some surprises for its Navara pickup truck. The upcoming Nissan Navara will be the best yet. It is an off-road variant that is a very popular model in Australia. In the Europe, where Navara is available as a Frontier model, you will get the same variant. Reportedly, a new PRO-4X Warrior is in the works. This plan is to sell this model worldwide and compete with the famous Ford Raptor.

The Nissan Navara may also introduce some sort of electrification. However, this is just a rumor at the moment. In addition to Raptor, Navara PRO-4X will also be able to compete with the Toyota HiLux Rugged X variant. Sales will begin in the first quarter of and here is everything we know about this model.
The all-new Nissan Navara will soon enter production. We expect the same rugged design again with some exciting improvements. First of all, the regular Navara pickup will arrive with the same trapezoidal grille. However, the grille will wear more chrome accents and the bumpers will be wider than before. Exterior features such as headlights and taillights will be slightly larger. In general, a new model looks sleeker and more modern. For the PRO-4X variant, we expect the same updates. Interior will receive more functions
The interior of the Nissan Navara does not differ much from the regular model. This means that the PRO-4X receives the same updates as the base version. Also, this off-road package carries sportier cues and more upright materials. The same 8-inch infotainment touchscreen is available again, along with the 7-inch digital driver display.
We think the build quality is great and most of the interior features look very upright. A new steering wheel is possible, along with a new interior color scheme. As we said, Navara could get a hybrid or fully electric powertrain MY. If this really happens, Navara will have to change its fundamentals. That said, the interior of the Nissan Navara could offer even more space.
Technical data
As far as we know, the Nissan Navara will again offer the same 2.3-liter diesel engine. This powertrain can produce 210 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Nissan also offers a 2.5-liter gasoline engine, and this engine could gain more power. There are many rumors about a new 3.0-liter engine with 300 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque.
Finally, Nissan is reportedly working on some sort of hybrid and fully electric variants, but this is more speculation. If true, we believe the electrified Navara will be better suited to North American markets, where this truck is available as a Frontier model. As before, the PRO-4X version offers a standard all-wheel drive system, beefier suspension and a smoother electronic rear differential.

Interestingly, Navara costs more than its Frontier sibling. The Nissan Navara is available for about €10,000 (Euro) over the base price.
