Nissan Qashqai 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The new Nissan Qashqai made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month. The latest mid-size SUV model comes out with a new design, some interior changes and a new engine. It will be larger and more comfortable compared to previous generations.
Nissan Qashqai
With the new version, Nissan also introduces its first-generation ProPilot self-driving system, which allows this SUV to automatically steer, accelerate, reduce speed and change lanes when driving in a city or on a highway.
This is also an attempt to establish the position of the Qashqai model for the US audience. The previous car introduced this car to the US market and with the new one it will further strengthen its position. The images of the car first appeared from Spain, where the model was conducting tests and wearing camouflage, but the quick eye of reporters reacted very quickly and so we got our first spy photos and our first look at the Nissan Qashqai.
Although the Nissan Qashqai will debut with its original name for the home market, the name might change for the release date in America. Since the Rogue is already an established and also the smallest CUV car on the market, they might carry a similar name. For now, we’ll call it the Nissan Qashqai and we’ll see if the name change really happens.
How much does the Nissan Qashqai cost?
It seems that the price of the latest model will not be significantly affected by the changes and it is expected to start at €18,000 or $21,000 when translated for the US market. The only price difference is expected in the seven-seat version, which will have a slightly longer wheelbase. This model is expected to be up to 10% more expensive than cars currently on the market.
Exterior redesign
One of the main changes in the new Nissan Qashqai will be its styling. The front of this model receives a redesigned design with the latest version of the company’s V-Motion grille and integrated headlights that make it look more current and aggressive. The rear features new graphics for the taillights and a new bumper.
Since this car has to adapt to US standards, there are some changes that are made keeping in mind the US DOT regulations. These are mainly added for the front end and tailgate of the car. The Nissan Qashqai rear actually looks like it has been carried over from the European version, but it doesn’t affect the styling of the car one bit. All in all, despite the minor changes to this car, it looks a lot sportier and has a very good new appearance that will probably appeal to many new audiences.
What’s new inside? Nissan Qashqai interior
The interior cabin remains largely unchanged from the outgoing model, but materials are expected to be slightly better and equipment levels remain well above average for this SUV class.
The key upgrade will be the steering wheel, which will be much more attractive than before, with a smaller center section and four-way control that allows for better control of the integration of technology, with less time spent away from the road.
Upgrades in the Nissan Qashqai cabin also include the ‘NissanConnect’ multimedia system with DAB digital radio and satellite navigation, and an optional seven-speaker Bose sound system. Passengers can enjoy less noise thanks to better insulation and thicker rear windows. Other technologies offered include parking assistance, traffic sign recognition, driver attention warning, blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning.
What about the drive? Nissan Qashqai engine and transmission
The latest Nissan Qashqai will continue to offer a great engine setup. The Nissan Qashqai is considered to be one of the most comfortable cars in this SUV class. The latest version is expected to have the same engines as the previous version. The seven-seater is expected to be available with two engines, 1.6-liter petrol and 1.6-liter diesel. The petrol engine will have a power of 161 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, while the diesel will offer 129 hp and 26 lb-ft of torque. CTV is expected to be the only option in both engine versions.
0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed
Current estimates also suggest that the Nissan Qashqai will have the same specifications as its predecessor. Acceleration and top speed will be pretty much the same as the previous car, and it will likely be able to accelerate to 0-62 mph per hour in around 10 seconds and also be able to reach a top speed of 125 mph. These are fairly standard specifications, but it is also something that works for the car and the segment it is in.
Are there any changes in fuel consumption?
The new fuel consumption specifications of the Nissan Qashqai are not in yet. However, since a new smaller size and downsized engines appear in this version, we can only expect an improvement in the statistics. It will probably offer better consumption, which will be very appreciated for the European audience. Of course, people in the Europe will also like this and will most likely be happy with the improvements. We can say that this will probably improve the popularity and position of the Qashqai in the Europe.
Release date – When can we expect it on the market?
The exact release date of Nissan Qashqai has not been officially confirmed. However, some reports suggest that it will be launched in Europe and Australia in mid-. The US release date will come a little later and we expect it to be offered for the first quarter of .
Rival cars
This segment is not going to be as friendly as you would hope for the Nissan Qashqai. The cars that are already becoming established here are the models that have been here for a long time. These cars include the Ford Escape and Kia Sportage, which are favorites with US drivers. We’ll see if this offering is enough for the Qashqai to get to the top of the segment.
