Peugeot 308 R Hybrid 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The Peugeot 308 R Hybrid is still a concept car that has not yet been developed for mass production, but with the optimism I have generated, this hybrid car will soon reach production levels.
Peugeot 308 R-Hybrid
The two electric motors, together with the gas engine, can produce a whopping 500 horsepower, giving it plenty of power over the once-hyped 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. It’s important to note that Peugeot dominated the European automotive market in the 1990s with cars like the 106 Rallye and 205 GTi.
Back then, the company produced some fantastic cars before the company changed its mind. But with the Peugeot 308 R Hybrid generating so much interest in the automotive scene, it might take a few years for the automaker to regain its lost glory.
Price and release date
If Peugeot were to actually realize the concept, which is of course the case, then the Peugeot 308 R Hybrid would be valued at around €60,000 (Euro) in , or three times as expensive as the 308.
Design
The amazing 19-inch wheels reinforce its aggressive physique and have been retained from the previous concepts. At the front, the concept gets what Peugeot describes as white ceramic-looking material, which is larger and has stylish air intakes. There is also an iconic badge on the grille with the ‘308 R’ logo. At the back towards the centre, matte black has been painted and this is definitely where the new rear fascia is located, reflecting the front, with a small rear diffuser as well as a single exhaust on the right-hand side. It is definitely an attractive and good looking five-door family car that arguably competes against the 208 in terms of hatchback performance.
inner space
The most striking part of the Peugeot 308 R Hybrid is the padded sports seats, which Peugeot indisputably says are made of immaculate fawn-colored, patinated leather. Peugeot’s designers also claim that the dashboard panels are covered in what they call a “digital weaving technique” that reduces weight by eliminating the need for foam and can be used to create more complex parts. The steering wheel is also perforated with leather and is compact with two paddles mounted on the 6-speed gearbox.
Engine for Peugeot 308 R Hybrid
Things look much nicer on the Peugeot 308 R Hybrid. The basic power source is the 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 270 horsepower. An electric motor generates a lot on the axles, with each having the ability to generate 115 horsepower. The rear motor sends its power directly to the axle, while both the combustion engine and the front electric motor drive the wheels at the front. The car is likely to be heavier, as Peugeot engineers have moved the fuel tank to the trunk area above the engine at the back.
Despite the setback that might occur in terms of weight, the Peugeot 308 R Hybrid concept will reach a top speed of around 100 km/h in under four seconds. Power is limited to 250 km/h. Four power modes are provided, with Hot Lap mode being the highest, which fully utilizes the entire powertrain to produce a whopping 500 horsepower and 539 pound-feet of torque.
