Peugeot 508 GT 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
One of the general sedans of today, the Peugeot 508 GT , the new features and photos of the range have emerged. A renewed offer that presents both interesting and striking novelties. New trim levels are incorporated, equipment is improved and prices are adjusted. Peugeot maintains a varied engine selection in which the plug-in hybrid version continues to stand out.
Peugeot 508 GT
The plug-in hybrid 508 is only available as a four-door fastback and will boost Peugeot Europe’s local electrification rollout – but this will make it the most expensive Peugeot sedan.
inner space
Inside, the furniture remains the same except for the screens. This Peugeot 508 will benefit from redesigned digital on-board instruments. It will receive an even more rewarding 3D display. Just below we find the small Peugeot steering wheel, but with a few additional buttons, those of the multimedia, which are no longer hidden under the indicators on the steering column. But the real novelty is right in the middle of the dashboard with the third screen including 5 “i-toggles”.
Under the central 10-inch screen there is a second long screen where you can attach 5 widgets and 5 shortcuts. They are fully customizable and can be very varied: from the simple radio station to the daily commute, including a specific air conditioning temperature. The central screen is also customizable with “sides” also made up of widgets, larger and more complete. It feels like you are in front of a smartphone laid out horizontally.
Motor
The 2.0-litre units are called BlueHDi 160 (161 hp) and BlueHDi 180 (175 hp) and both engines have the same torque of 400 Nm. They accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 and 8.3 seconds respectively, and both have top speeds of over 140 km/h.
While the BlueHDi 160 may be a big seller and even weigh a bit on a 1.5-litre unit, it packs plenty of punch. The 225 hybrid model uses a 1.6-litre petrol engine and 11.8kW battery, plus a 108bhp electric motor. Total output was 222bhp, with a top speed of 0-100mph in 8.3 seconds.
Security
Peugeot has a strong reputation for safety today and this is confirmed by the 508’s five-star Euro NCAP safety rating in 2018. The car made 9+ for adult safety and 86% for child safety. The Peugeot 508 matches the figures released by Volkswagen Arteon showrooms, which it hopes will drive customers away. The 508 was not included in our Driver Power survey, the 3008 SUV, which shares engines, chassis and technology with the 508, came in second, which will definitely reflect positively on the Peugeot 508 SUV.
Design
The Peugeot 508’s active trim is key in terms of equipment, especially in terms of safety, despite the entry-level version’s role in the range. It has rear parking, electric uphill braking, active safety braking, collision warning, emergency exit warning and automatic high beam.
Peugeot calls the 508 fast, which is associated with the Jaguar E-Type and Ford Mustang. No doubt, this is a great car, and the fact that it has a hatchback rather than a narrow cockpit opening gives it a practical appeal too.
