Polestar 2 EV 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Polestar 2 is a five-door premium fastback with two electric motors and a battery capacity of 78 kWh, achieving a target range of 500 km based on Volvo Car Group’s adaptable CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform.
SUV Polestar 2
Production of Polestar 2 will begin in China in early for global markets in both left- and right-hand drive. Initial launch markets include China, Europe, Canada, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK. Additional markets are being considered for future expansion.
PERFORMANCE
For Polestar, performance underlies the entire driving experience. The electric all-wheel drive in Polestar 2 produces 300 kW (408 hp) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft), which translates to a 0-62 mph acceleration time of less than 5 seconds. The standard dynamic chassis can be upgraded with the Performance Pack, which improves driving dynamics with Öhlins dampers, Brembo brakes and unique 20-inch forged wheels. Polestar’s signature gold seatbelts, brake calipers and valve caps complete the performance display.
INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
Polestar 2 underlines the technological leadership that Polestar plays within the Volvo Car Group and is one of the first cars in the world to integrate an infotainment system with Android. The Android backbone provides a solid and adaptable digital environment for apps and car functions to coexist, and brings embedded Google services to a car for the first time – including Google Assistant, Google Maps with support for electric vehicles and Google Play Store. Natural voice control and a new 11-inch touchscreen display bring the new user interface to life.
DESIGN
Maximilian Missoni, Head of Design at Polestar, comments: “We decided to bring something different to the segment. Our avant-garde design has evolved from Polestar 1 to a more edgy, bold statement. We have also designed a standard vegan interior with advanced textiles that appeals to the forward-thinking audience.”
Design-led features include pixel LED headlights and proximity lighting that enable a unique greeting sequence, the now frameless Polestar side mirrors and the unique illuminated Polestar logo reflected on the car’s panoramic glass roof.
