Design

What Porsche wanted to achieve with the Cayman GT4 is to make it stand out compared to all non-GT cars. They have well integrated all the required features of a high performance car and stayed true to the traditional styling, but have also managed to bring in a lot of updating to make the car a new and modern one. The first noticeable addition is the GT wing attached to the rear, which allows for stability at higher speeds and gives the Cayman a cool, unique look. The front bumper gets some larger air intakes and a chin spoiler to boot. All of these additions provide downward force to stabilize the car at high speeds and improve handling.

The ride height of the car has also been lowered. The Porsche Cayman GT4 has a height of 1.2 inches compared to the previous vehicle. This actually goes well with the low-set tires and cuddles them very appropriately to continue that look. Overall, the design of this model doesn’t deviate that much from the original design, except for the added wing of course. The interior of the Porsche Cayman GT4 is a typical sports vehicle interior. It has the standard equipment you would expect from a sports car. There are some matte sports seats on the inside with comfortable leather upholstery and some Alcantara leather. It offers lateral support at high speeds and gives you even more comfort than you expected. The small steering wheel is also part of the interior as most sports cars have a small wheel like this.

However, there are some additional or optionally added extras that you can choose to get into the car. For example, racing bucket seats are a very good addition to the interior and make you feel like you are taking part in a real race. The ones you can get are made of pure carbon fiber. You can also opt for a Sport Chrono package. The previous Porsche cars have received a performance display, both digital and analog, with this package, and the cars also get a faster “Sport Plus” button. This button stiffens the suspension, quickens the steering, sharpens the throttle response, and includes several other useful racing features. A special type of addition is the “Track Precision App,” which provides you with additional and necessary information that you can get.

Porsche’s brand new vehicle uses a 3.8-liter flat-six naturally aspirated engine. This allows the Cayman GT4 vehicle to produce 385 horsepower, using a standard six-speed manual transmission equipped with dynamic transmission mounts. The setup does not include an optional automatic shifter. The chassis has been built primarily using components borrowed from the 911 GT3. The result is that the GT4 can accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds and develop a top speed of 183 miles per hour. Stopping power is achieved with the l Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system, while the suspension has been lowered by a full inch.

Price and release date

Since the Porsche Cayman base model costs around €52,600 (Euro), which is not a bad price at all, you will have to save a little more if you want to buy the GT4. It will come with a price tag of 84,600, but this is a performance car that is worth every penny of the money spent on it. The car has received its release date and will go on sale in January next year.
