Range Rover EV 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

Land Rover is confident of successfully electrifying even its largest models, such as the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. As part of the fifth-generation Range Rover announcement, the launch of a Range Rover EV in was confirmed. Alongside the Land Rover Defender EV, the Range Rover Sport EV and Range Rover EV will be the company’s boldest vehicle projects, rethinking its strategy.

Design

The all-new Range Rover is an evolutionary upgrade over the fourth generation model on the design front. Its silhouette looks almost identical to the previous model. JLR has refined the globally acclaimed design for the new decade with a slightly different expression.

The design team led by Gerry McGovern has retained the Range Rover’s signature features such as the two-piece bonnet, straight lines, clean and elegant surfaces and the distinctive tapering of the body at the rear. The drag coefficient (0.30 cd) is, as we suspected, around 10% lower than its predecessor (0.34 cd), beating the Mercedes GLS (0.32 cd) and giving it class-leading aerodynamics. With this significantly lower drag coefficient, the new Range Rover is the most aerodynamically efficient luxury SUV in the world, according to JLR .

At the front, the all-new Range Rover features slimmer headlights and grille, as well as a more distinctive lower grille design with two body-coloured horizontal slats that run the full width. Designers have placed thin LED fog lights neatly between the angular bars on the lower grille. New tubular inserts on the grille accentuate the slimmer and wider footprint of the other front fascia design elements. At the sides, the Range Rover has received flush door handles and a new fuel filler cap that is larger but has a similar squirrel shape.

The rear has changed remarkably, making the JLR flagship unconventional and to some extent futuristic. To prepare for the zero-emissions future, the designers have dispensed with exposed tailpipes. The part of the tailgate under the glass is a smooth surface with rounded outer parts. It houses a full-width glossy black badge with Range Rover lettering in the centre, which is connected to extremely thin tail lamps. The new bumper design with thin skid plates and slim fog lamps/light reflectors underline the sleeker design of the new model.

In addition to the taillights, the two shark fin antennas on the roof give the new Range Rover a slightly polarizing look at the rear. Whether in awe or shock, the unusual design of its rear would attract everyone’s attention.

Inner

The interior of the all-new Range Rover looks familiar, but every part bears a completely new design. The odd structure of the two-spoke steering may disappoint some. The significantly larger screen should make using the infotainment system significantly more comfortable and entertaining for most, if not all, front occupants. JLR has used the Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system with a 13.3-inch curved, floating screen – the largest touchscreen ever in a Land Rover. The new central display, a first for Land Rover, provides haptic feedback when touching and pressing the screen, making it less distracting to use.

Unlike the tilting display on the previous model, the all-new Range Rover’s new central display is a fixed unit, but has a better angle as standard without the need for adjustment. This is partly because the dashboard is not as raked. The new central display has a better aspect ratio that is more suitable for reading. There is no secondary central display as the primary display is large enough on its own.

A semi-floating, fully digital 13.7-inch instrument works in sync with the Pivi Pro system. The new climate control panel is more conventional. The electronic gear selector is a new short and compact unit that matches the new pared-down design theme. Rear passengers can entertain themselves with adjustable 11.4-inch HD touchscreens.

An 8-inch touchscreen in the rear centre armrest allows control of the seat position and other adjustments to fine-tune the rear cabin environment. For the first time, customers can also equip their Range Rover as a seven-seater, so large families no longer have to settle for the Range Rover Sport.
