Range Rover Evoque

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque brand was first introduced in 2012 as part of the expansion of the compact luxury crossover market and was billed as an instant luxury SUV. As the brand quickly became popular, there was a small refresh in 2014 to keep the model afloat and continue the popularity that came with it. The model year will do the same as there are some quirks that have been improved and changed for the brand without taking any drastic steps at the same time.

The exterior of the car will only make a few changes and will not change much about the Evoque. The biggest news is the release of the new range of engines that the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque will use. Although this rumor is true, unfortunately none of the new engines will be available for the US market.

Range Rover Evoque is battling with the new version of the Mercedes-Benz GLA and the latest Audi Q3, which pose a major threat to the Evoque. It was a great car when it was first released, but they still have some work to do to remain competitive.

Design

The basic exterior look of the Range Rover Evoque is mostly carried over to this car. Incidentally, the model is tweaked a bit to keep it competitive. The reshaped headlights are a nice new touch and the signature LED daytime running lights signature has also been added. The bumper has also been reshaped and is wider, while the wider tow eye covers and additional larger air intakes are also present on this car.

Again, the slim LED lights have been refurbished and the grille has also been slightly refreshed, but is not much different from the previous version. It includes a horizontal new fine mesh pattern as seen on the standard models, while the Dynamic trim features a hexagonal grille design with a more prominent mesh design.

New air vents are only available on the Autobiography models and the five-door HSE Dynamic trims, which were previously only available on the coupe versions. The rear features a new tailgate spoiler as well as a completely new set of LED taillights with revised graphics. It also comes with a new gesture tailgate that allows for easier access and an easier way to open it. Three new exterior colors are also offered for the , adding to the immense range already offered by the Range Rover Evoque.

inner space

The interior of the Range Rover Evoque features changes that are as subtle as they are noticeable. The door panels and seats have been revised and are a very noticeable part of the car. There is also a new InControl infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. The instrument cluster has also been revised and there are more soft-touch materials and new colors too. The model also offers ebony leather seats as standard and has eight-way power adjustment in the base trim. The upper trims additionally offer 14-way power adjustments, massage seats and many more premium materials.

As optional equipment, you get an SD card-based navigation system, rear seat entertainment with two 8-inch screens, a satellite-based system and 11- or 17-speaker audio systems. The changes made to the interior are by no means revolutionary, nor do they represent the next stage in the evolution of luxury car design, but they are a welcome addition as they bring the car up to date and maintain its position in the market as a very competitive model.

Engine specifications of the Range Rover Evoque

The news of the release of the latest Range Rover Evoque also came with the announcement that an entirely new engine lineup would appear. Although this was the case, it is not the case for people in the US market as the added engines are not available there. Therefore, people in America will continue to use the 2.0-liter engine which produces 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque and uses a nine-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour is approximately 9 seconds and a top speed of 135 mph.

The European version, on the other hand, will house two new TD4 diesel engines, one producing 150 hp and the other 180 hp. Land Rover has also stated that the latest engine additions will weigh about 20 to 30 pounds less than the diesel variants previously used.

Range Rover Evoque release date and price
