Renault Alaskan 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The upcoming Renault Alaskan is an interesting model for a number of reasons. To start with, this pickup truck uses a five-link rear suspension and shares many cues with the Nissan Navara. Two models have the same underpinnings, the same engine, and more.

Renault Alaskan

Alaskan is currently produced in Spain, Mexico and Argentina. Interestingly, Alaskan is closely related to the new Mercedes X-Class pickup truck. For , we can expect a new powertrain option, better interior space and better towing capacity.

Design

The company’s latest pickup will be very similar to the Nissan Navara and Mercedes X-Class models . The Renault Alaskan will ride on the same platform that houses the Navara pickup. Thanks to the Renault-Nissan alliance, this is no surprise. Navara is a good-looking model, so Alaskan can only benefit from this.

Renault’s incoming model will get a similar design and almost the same exterior features. The front grille is new and the bumpers are bolder. The Renault badge in the center of the grille is a recognizable styling feature. The front fascia gets more chrome accents and the rear fascia looks odd but still pleasant. The side profile remains mostly the same and 17-inch wheels are still standard.

Interior fittings

From the inside, the new Alaskan will not see such significant changes. Renault is rather opting for a mid-cycle refresh of sorts. This includes the updates to the infotainment systems, displays and some new features. The Renault Alaskan will again borrow a lot from Navara Pickup. Despite this, Alaskan manages to retain its uniqueness. The cabin is very practical and spacious. In terms of design, the interior will not change. Expect the smaller HVAC controls. The dashboard is intact but still looks modern and attractive.

Two analogue gauges are still present and, according to customers, are looking increasingly old. However, the interior of the Renault Alaskan is full of technology. The displays are large enough, even the standard units. 12-volt sockets, navigation, Bluetooth and a 360-degree camera are standard. In addition, the French manufacturer offers standard hill start assist, hill descent control and trailer sway assist. The upcoming pickup will also get Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and other safety aids.

Renault promises better performance

The upcoming Renault Alaskan will continue to use its 2.3-liter dCi engine. This unit is available in two different outputs. Moreover, both outputs are slightly improved. The highest power produces up to 190 hp. Optionally, you can purchase a four-cylinder turbo engine, which also offers two outputs. However, this engine can produce 158 hp or 187 hp. A diesel engine is also available and delivers excellent torque figures of almost 315 lb-ft.

According to Renault, all units are now cleaner and better ride quality is guaranteed. A five-link rear suspension is still available and new disc brakes are fitted. When it comes to gearbox selection, Alaskan offers a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic transmission.
