Renault Captur PHEV 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

According to a French web report, the facelifted Renault Captur PHEV is expected to be unveiled in late . Although it is mostly a styling update (new cosmetics), the interior may change to keep up with current technologies, including 5G.

Renault says more than 150,000 units of the Captur have been sold in the UK since its launch in 2013. The responsive performance and low running costs of the PHEV system, alongside the new styling, would make the Captur attractive to more buyers who are not convinced about electric cars .

The renderings of the future Captur on Auto show changes to the front and rear, while the sides feature changes to the rims. At the front, the rendering shows a new set of headlights and redesigned DRLs that form a gentle S-shape that flows into the bumper. The grille is also slimmer and features LED strips at select intervals that form a dotted line to the logo, which itself is illuminated.

The bumper has been refreshed with a large front spoiler and side inlets. The rear bumper has also been optimized to make it more suitable for off-road use. Similar to the current model, the taillights are connected by a strip with an illuminated Renault logo in the middle.

According to the report, there will be minor changes inside, especially given that Renault has already modernized its cockpit. However, the infotainment screen could see more connectivity features and potentially introduce 5G connectivity. Renault could also bring more autonomous features into the mix to increase its safety rating for the Captur.

Renault Captur PHEV

The Renault Captur E-Tech PHEV is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine, which is complemented by two electric motors. The combined power of the engines is 118 kW/160 hp. The combustion engine can produce 144 Nm of torque, the electric motors 205 Nm. The PHEV gets a 9.8 kWh battery, which gives the Captur a purely electric range of up to 50 km.

According to Renault’s press release, this can be used for most inner-city commutes if it is charged regularly. Speaking of which, Renault supplies its customers with a home wallbox that can charge the car from 0 to 100 percent in three hours.

Price & Introduction

The redesigned Renault Captur PHEV is not expected to be unveiled until late , a full launch can be expected in early , with the UK release tentatively placed in . The report also suggests that the additional features and slight inflation could mean the price of the Captur would rise. In the UK, Renault launched the Captur Iconic E-Tech Hybrid 145 Auto variant in June for €28500 (Euros). The PHEV is available in Iconic, S Edition and RS Line trim levels.
