Renault Megane eVision 2025: New electric crossover from Renault
The all-electric Renault Megane eVision concept is the first Renault vehicle to be built on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi modular CMF-EV platform, which also underlies the Nissan Ariya . The concept car measures 4,210 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,505 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

Renault says it has “reinvented the compact hatchback” in the Megane eVision concept. At 4.21 meters long (15-30 cm shorter than conventional cars), passengers can enjoy best-in-class capacity and usability, as well as easier driving around town. In short, the Mégane eVision is a vehicle that challenges traditional C-segment vehicles.
Renault Megane Electric Design & Dimensions
The Renault Megane electric SUV looks 95% similar to the eVision concept, as shown in our rendering (pictured) and the new teasers.
The production version has a less striking front end with revisions to the light clusters, but the shape of all elements is the same. Unlike the concept, the production car features the new Renault logo, which is flat and has minimalist vibes. However, it may also feature lighting to form part of the welcoming sequence. The side intakes have a new blade that bisects them for style.
While the concept has a charging port on the driver’s side (left), the production version has a charging port on the passenger side (right). Also new are conventional mirrors that are expected to cost less (and meet global regulations) and smaller wheels that are expected to offer a better ride and range. Up top, the final model features a shark fin antenna.
At the rear, the taillights have been given simpler clusters, while the Renault logo has been changed to the new design and is not illuminated. A small difference from the standard model is also a thin horizontal brake light.
The Renault Megane electric SUV looks pretty good for a car of its size. There are no unusual design elements, such as two-stage headlights. In addition, stocky proportions and compact dimensions make it very attractive, adding sleek technical lights at the front and rear, a neatly closed front end and sporty bumpers.
At 4,210 mm (165.7 in.) long, 1,800 mm (70.9 in.) wide, and 1,505 mm (59.1 in.) tall, the Renault Megane eVision is roughly the same size as the Hyundai Kona EV (164.6 in. x 70.9 in. x 61.2 in.) in Europe. As a model designed from the ground up as an electric vehicle, it benefits from a long wheelbase of 2,700 mm (106.3 in.). For reference, the wheelbase of the Korean electric SUV is 102.4 in.
Inner
As for the interior of the Renault Megane eVision SUV, the teasers show a highly digital cockpit and a clear layout of elements. Expect very few physical controls, with most of the comfort/multimedia functions operable via a large portrait touchscreen infotainment system on the dashboard. Zooming in on the image of the fully digital instrument cluster, we see that ‘Comfort’ is one of the driving modes.
The Renault Megane eVision will usher in the brand’s next-generation interior, which was demonstrated in the Renault Symbioz concept in 2017. The best example is the L-shaped display in the cockpit area for showing driving, navigation and comfort information.
The production model will go a step further and make it look like an unobstructed panel by using a portrait touchscreen instead of two horizontal touchscreens. However, a vertical air vent between the seven breaks the continuity and reverses this effect. Another similarity to the concept is the compact steering wheel, flattened on two sides.
The touchscreen infotainment system offers tablet-style operation with multiple user profiles, a drop-down notification center, and more. A slim horizontal air vent covers the remaining width of the dashboard on the right side. At the top, a thin strip of ambient lighting visually connects the instrument panel to the door panels. The floating center console has its own phone storage space, and there’s additional storage space directly below for other small items.
Performance & Range
The Renault Megane sits on the CMF-EV platform of the Renault – Nissan – Mitsubishi alliance and is expected to get battery packs and motors similar to the Nissan Ariya. The regular Renault Megane eVision Electric will have a 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor powered by a 60 kWh battery, allowing a range (WLTP) of up to 450 km or 280 miles, the Renault Group confirmed in June. By , the Renault Group aims to introduce what it calls “Gen 2 Performance” for its sports cars, with an energy density of 700 Wh/l at the cell level.
Thanks to the support of a fast charger with 130 kW charging power, it is expected that it will be possible to achieve a range of around 200 km (WLTP) in just half an hour at a DC charging station. The Renault Group plans to limit the top speed of Renault and Dacia models to 180 km/h, confirmed Luca De Meo, the company’s CEO, at its annual general meeting this year. In addition, De Meo revealed at the event that the Megane electric SUV would feature cruise control with a “safety coach” that limits the top speed to 160 km/h.
Price Renault Megane eVision
