Skoda Fabia 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
On May 4, the 4th generation Skoda Fabia hatchback was presented at the DOX Center for Contemporary Arts. The model year switched to the new MQB-A0 platform, thanks to which it has grown significantly in size and has a more spacious trunk. The five-door model has also been redesigned externally and received expanded equipment.
Skoda Superb
Sales of the new Fabia will start in the European market in September . The hatchback will be offered in three trim levels – Active, Ambition and Style, and the initial version should not be more expensive than the current 14,450 euros. The Fabia Combi station wagon will debut at a later date.
Exterior Skoda Fabia
With the change of generation, the model has retained the familiar body design with an abundance of faceted shapes, but there are many changes in the details. At the front, the layout of the headlights, grille and bumper has been revised. At the rear, new lights have appeared, some of which are located on the tailgate. The front optics are diode optics as standard, and the rear is optional.
A sporty silhouette and aggressive ribs, for example on the same bonnet, enhance the appearance of Fabia. An interesting design touch are the lines on the front doors, stylized as a triangle of the Czech flag. The body of the new hatchback generation is more streamlined thanks to aerodynamically optimized wheels and active flaps in the lower air intake of the front bumper. The reduction in air resistance is expressed in a Cd value reduced from 0.32 to 0.28.
The model has grown significantly. The wheelbase has increased by 94 mm (up to 2564 mm) and the length and width by 111 and 48 mm (up to 4108 and 1780 mm), respectively. Only the height has become smaller, reduced to 1459 mm (minus 8 mm). The five-door model receives alloy wheels in sizes from 14 to 18 inches in nine versions (plus stampings are available in 14 and 15 inches). The range of body colors also includes nine shades, two of which are new – Phoenix Orange and Graphite Gray. The roof, mirror caps and grille surround are available in the contrasting colors Graphite Gray and Black Magic with a pearlescent effect.
Interior and equipment
Fabia’s salon has changed dramatically. The side air vents on the front panel are now round, and the central ones, although rectangular, are located under the main display of the media center (previously at the top). The screen diagonal is 6.5 (Swing), 8 (Bolero) or 9.2 (Amundsen) inches. The most advanced head unit is equipped with an integrated SIM card, a navigator, gesture control and the Laura voice assistant. Wireless integration of smartphones via the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay interfaces is also possible in simpler variants of multimedia systems. Induction charging of the Phone Box is available as an option.
The extended configuration of the Skoda Fabia includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, heated steering wheel and windshield, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic roof, backlighting with additional diodes in the area of the door handles. The list of electronic assistants has been expanded to include the Travel Assist adaptive cruise control, and the maximum number of airbags has been increased to nine after the introduction of a knee airbag for the driver and side airbags for the rear passengers.
The new Fabia also has many Simply Clever solutions. These include pockets for a cell phone on the back of the front seats, a USB-C port next to the rear-view mirror, a niche for an umbrella in the driver’s door, a storage box for small items in the transmission tunnel of the second row of seats, hooks and latches on the side walls of the trunk.
The cargo area in the hatchback has become more spacious. Its volume has grown from 330-1150 liters to 380-1190 liters.
Technical data
The platform change did not lead to a revision of the Fabia engine range. It still only includes petrol engines from the Evo series. That:
- Three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine 1.0 MPI (65 hp, 95 Nm);
- Another version of the 1.0 MPI engine (80 hp, 95 Nm);
- Turbo turbine 1.0 TSI (95 HP, 175 Nm);
- Turbo turbine 1.0 TSI (110 HP, 200 Nm);
- Turbo four 1.5 TSI (150 HP, 250 Nm).
All engines meet the Euro 6d emission standard, but do not have hybrid bodies. “Younger” engines are combined with a 5-speed “mechanics”, a 100-horsepower unit offers a choice between a 6-speed manual transmission and a “robot” 7DSG, the most powerful “turbo four” comes only in conjunction with a robotic gearbox. The 1.5 TSI engine is interesting in that it is equipped with a system for switching off two cylinders at low load. Using all the power of the engine, you can sprint to “hundreds” in 7.9 seconds and reach a speed of 225 km/h.
Price Skoda Fabia
The price of the new Skoda Fabia in the standard version will be around 14,450 euros.
