This will also be shared in conjunction with the new Prius, meaning that the Avensis will be a very different car to the version we currently know. It will use brand new state-of-the-art engines and feature both a new interior and exterior.

Price and release date
Pricing will no doubt remain largely unchanged, so expect a check for at least £17,000 for a base model, while a premium model will fetch around £26,000. The release date for the model has not yet been confirmed and is expected to be in late , but the actual car will be unveiled to the public in summer . Technical data
The new Toyota Avensis will get two new diesel engines, a new 1.6-litre D-4D and a 2.0-litre 4D engine. A 1.6-litre version will get rid of the 2.0-litre diesel, making it 20kg lighter than the old unit. This engine powers the Avensis from 0-62mph in 11.4 seconds and has a top speed of 112mph. Carbon dioxide emissions are 108g/km, while fuel economy is 68.9mpg.
Additionally, the 2.0-litre diesel has an average fuel consumption of 62.8 mpg and emits 119 g/km of carbon dioxide into the environment. The petrol engines have been revised and CO2 emissions are expected to be reduced in the range of 8 g/km to 19 g/km.
engine
In terms of the engine, the Toyota Avensis will likely continue with the previous current-generation 1.8-liter engine as the base unit. This will, in reality, bring 145 hp and up to 200 N*m of torque. The more powerful premium versions, on the other hand, will be dropped and replaced by BMW-sourced engines that Toyota has developed in collaboration with BMW for the new Mini, as well as new smaller cars.
These engines are expected to carry both a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline engine producing around 180 hp and a 2-liter turbo engine producing up to a whopping 240 hp. Additionally, the models will use a new 6-speed manual transmission as the standard gearbox, while a 6- or 8-speed automatic will be available as an option. Despite the new features, there will be no all-wheel drive, which is a disappointment, but may be available in a future version of the car model.
Design
When it comes to the exterior of the Toyota Avensis , it will be very different from that of the current generation cars. It will be much more aggressive in nature and will have improved aerodynamic capabilities. Since it will receive a new platform, it will also be longer, wider and slightly lower than the previous version.
From the early sketches of the model, it is very similar to the concept car released earlier this year, which is truly a beautiful car. The rear will also be fitted with new modern-style LED headlights. In addition, the car has been stretched by 40 mm overall. A Toyota spokesperson also said that changes will be made to the Avensis chassis.
inner space
Inside, it will likely get a new design shape that revolves around the driver to provide a better driving experience than ever before. Standard features include satellite navigation, electric and heated seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Also in the goodies is for music lovers and will have either a 6 or 8 speaker audio system.
Available options are likely to include leather upholstery and a larger navigation system, as well as a sunroof. Toyota has made it clear that this design is the biggest investment it has ever made, so the Toyota Avensis will come with a refreshed interior and improved chassis.
