Toyota bZ5X 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The upcoming Toyota bZ5X is an electric SUV that will be larger than the existing bZ4X, which is set to go on sale soon. Featuring a third row of seats, the bZ5X will be the EV companion to Toyota’s gas-powered three-row Highlander crossover. It looks modern and futuristic on the outside, but we haven’t seen the interior yet, so we don’t know what to expect in terms of dashboard design.

Toyota also hasn’t shared any powertrain details, but it could potentially feature solid-state batteries – instead of the more common lithium-ion variety – and a dual-motor electric all-wheel drive system.

Engines

Like many electric SUVs, the bZ5X will be available in both a cheaper all-wheel drive and a four-wheel drive version. The single-engine, front-wheel drive version has an output of 201 hp and a maximum torque of 265 Nm, allowing an acceleration time to 100 km / h in 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 99 mph.

The all-wheel drive version has two motors, one for the front axle and one for the rear axle. Peak power is increased to 215 hp and torque to 336 Nm, cutting the acceleration time to 100 km/h to 7.7 seconds. Toyota says the all-wheel drive bZ5X will also get a variety of off-road modes suitable for “snow or mud,” “deep snow or mud,” and “tougher terrain,” with a more powerful battery and a fast charger for the new Toyota bZ5X.
