Toyota Estima 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The Toyota Estima gets a refresh. This is a crossover minivan model that has been around in Japan for so many years. It was an established brand and a welcome addition to the market, but only recently went global. It’s a minivan that combines gasoline and an electric motor, which is something you wouldn’t see everywhere. Unfortunately, Estima hasn’t managed to enter the American market yet.
Toyota Estima
Since Estima went global, there have been a few updates to the vehicle. The first came in 2006, the next and also the most recent in 2013. It’s been quite some time and the car already deserves and needs one. This refresh will give it more presence in the market and bring it closer to claiming to actually debut in some additional markets when that becomes possible.
The Toyota Estima will come in three different forms. Besides the base, we also have the Lucida Estima and the Emina Estima offered. The biggest difference between the trims is that the other trims are narrower compared to the base trim, but all of them offer great capacity inside and plenty of clearance.
Minivans may not be the most attractive and interesting vehicles on the market, but they serve their purpose. The debut of the Toyota Estima may not have been marketed by flashy images, but the release date will be as expected with any popular model. Here is our review of the car.
When is the release date expected for the Toyota Estima?
The latest Toyota Estima will be available in the Japanese home market by the end of . The release date for other expanding markets is not officially confirmed, but the Estima will be available in all major markets from the beginning of the year.
Price
The newly announced Toyota Estima will have a different price than before. Thanks to the enhancements made, the model will cost a little more compared to the last model, even if this is just a refresh. The starting price for the base trim is $36,000, while the highest will cost $47,400.
Restyling from the outside
The latest model of the Toyota Estima receives various visual updates to its exterior. It will help the car to be more contemporary and update the style to have a more modern appeal. What we can notice is that Estima looks much more aggressive than before. The front part is the basis for the changes made and defines the new look of the minivan. It adds the new LED daytime running lights, fog lights and an etched guard. The wheels have also been reshaped, while the new side mirrors have also come into play here.
The rear also sees additions in the form of new taillights. They have been designed in the same way as the front ones and there is also a new diffuser that is frosted at the rear end. The profile of the car still remains the same, however there are some minor updates that help streamline the model for better aerodynamics. It is far better and creates not only good styling for the Estima but also a very useful one.
Interior of the Toyota Estima
The interior of the car is designed to provide the utmost comfort to the Toyota Estima model. This is something that was not criticized before, but they felt that by adding so much they could improve its comfort. The extended wheelbase provides more space inside and is one of the most important steps in creating a better vehicle.
There are a few more additions to the Estima, however. The dashboard is made in the cockpit. The design is not too distracting, allowing the driver to focus on the road and the layout is fairly easy to maneuver and use. Other updates concern the car’s entertainment, adding new technologies that are even better for the emerging upper trims.
Hybrid powertrain
The Toyota Estima is one of the few minivans that actually uses a combination of gasoline and electronic engines. The gasoline part of the powertrain is the 2.4-liter gasoline engine, while a 13 kW electric motor is used for the front wheels and an 18 kW motor for the rear wheels. The total power is 190 hp and is enough to help the model accomplish anything you need it to.
0-100 mpg and top speed specifications
The Toyota Estima will not increase its acceleration and top speed too much. Actually, the acceleration rate for this one is not yet known, but the top speed of 115 mph of the previous model will be maintained. The car will probably soon announce the estimates with the 0-62 mph per hour statistics.
No improvements in fuel consumption
Nothing has been said about the fuel consumption of the Toyota Estima. It only makes us believe that this part of the car has not been updated and that it will remain largely the same. This updating was not aimed at improving the fuel consumption figures one way or another, so the statistics will remain the same for at least another year.
Longer wheelbase for the latest Toyota Estima
The latest Toyota Estima will actually modify some parts of it. In fact, they have added more inches to the wheelbase of the car, which in turn allows for more interior clearance. Everything else is intact and the size of the car, the length and height are completely the same as you would have seen before. The latest model offers a larger interior space and added comfort as well as additional cargo space.
Safety rates
The Toyota Estima will probably just carry over all the safety specs to the latest car. No specific safety systems have been announced, expect the standard systems that the previous car came with. The advanced safety equipment will be added mainly for the higher trims, but the base trim still has a very suitable one. All in all, the car deserves a good safety standard and is not considered bad for the segment.
Competing cars in the segment
Given that the Toyota Estima will be present mainly in the markets in Asia, there are not many cars to mention here. The Estima is mainly popular in Japan and Singapore, with Australian sales growing more and more. The most likely rival in the given segments is another Japanese product, the Nissan Serena, which is itself a great minivan that can cause some opposition.
