The latest images of the Toyota Prado have emerged. But the car doesn’t look that drastically different than before. Updating it was a good idea at first, but it doesn’t show us anything spectacular. We think they should have added more time and thought a lot more when designing this car. Still, it was good not to keep it the same for a year longer.

Toyota Prado is part of a premium SUV range that already has a lot of competition in the market. It has been around since 1984 and has managed to deliver great sales to the Japanese automaker. It is mainly popular in some Asian markets, with the recent boom in India.
It has mostly taken a back seat in other markets where there is a stronger competitor in the segment and the Prado could benefit from a major revamp. This was their chance to do that, but the Prado version is unlikely to be able to improve sales.

When is the release date of the Toyota Prado?
The release date of the latest Toyota Prado is expected to be announced any day now. In fact, the model is expected first in the backyard, that is, in Japan, and it will be available in all other markets. We see that the majority of the most successful will arrive at least at the beginning of the model year.
What is the given price of Toyota Prado?
Based on the trim level of the Toyota Prado , the price will be different, but the starting price will be around €53,000 (Euro). This amount will likely increase for the top trims, which will be around €83,000 (Euro).
Sleek exterior updates
What sets this Toyota Prado apart and all the ones that came before it apart is its size. The car is huge and it’s not afraid to show it off. But it doesn’t have as good features as some of its competitors on the market. We’re talking about a number of German SUV models competing against this one, of course. But the Prado instead has a demeanor that means business and expresses it in all its glory.
The front bumper is huge and gives the vehicle a muscular feel. They also added some more chrome which made it look chunky. The headlight cluster is also new and updated and also features some daytime running lights. The front end also features a larger grille which fits perfectly with the updates and gives the Prado an imposing styling.
On the side of the car we will notice the flared wheel arches with large gaps between the wheels and the body. It exemplifies a character that says you can take this Cay anywhere you want. In the rear of the car there are no significant changes except for the addition of LED lights with clear lenses.
Inside still not as impressive as the competition
With the latest package, the Toyota Prado offers a decent interior, but still not as impressive as you would see in the rival cars. What we hope to see here, however, is the amount of additional technology and upgrades that the model will use. Compared to its predecessor, it looks pretty good, but overall, the rivals will be better equipped. The model will have a new display audio with a 7-inch screen and it also gets an Optitron meter that has been completely renewed. The second row of seats gets heaters and offers the same pitch as the last item.
Is it advisable to keep the same engine?
Perhaps one of the wrong moves for the Toyota Prado is to keep the old engine for the latest model. They did not cross and decided to buy something new here and we stick with the 3.0-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine. It offers 173 hp of maximum power at 3400 rpm and 410 Nm of torque at 1600-2400 rpm. The power is transmitted to all four wheels while a 5-speed automatic transmission is used for this.
0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed
The statistics currently available say that the Toyota Prado can achieve reasonable rates in terms of top speed and acceleration. The top speed for the car is reported to be 112 miles per hour, while we can expect an acceleration of around 8 seconds.
What happened to fuel consumption?
The latest model of Toyota Prado should update the fuel consumption statistics. We generally expected to get a more economical vehicle so that they can face the competition much better and easier. Unfortunately, this did not happen and the model will keep the same as before. At least they did not get worse.
Improved security features
One of the things we like about the Toyota Prado is that it offers some specific safety features. There is equipment here that is mainly seen in some higher trim levels and advanced cars. Added to this is a crawl control system that helps when driving over rough terrain and off-road, a terrain selector that lets you choose driving models for different driving conditions, a terrain monitor and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Toyota Prado remains as big as before
They have decided to keep the dimensions for the Toyota Prado . These will not expand as much or at least not at all and we can have the same size of our car as the previous time. This gives us a full length of 4,780 m, width 1,885 m and height 1,880 m, while the wheelbase will be 2,790 m.
The German competition is the biggest problem for the Toyota Prado model. Sales are all going towards these models while the Prado is still not making enough. We were hoping to get a bigger redesign and more to update from the version but we will have to wait a little longer for it to be further developed. The models that are rated higher are the BMW X5 , the Audi Q7 , the Mercedes-Benz ML-Class and the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class.
