Volkswagen Scirocco GTS 2025: price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The new Volkswagen Scirocco GTS promises to be the new sports car that the Germans have not yet presented to their fans. It has a power output of 162 kW / 220 hp. What stands out in the Scirocco range is definitely the engine, which is a favorite as it has a design very similar to that of the Golf GTI’s powertrain. The Scirocco GTS has a turbocharged direct injection engine, which is considered the most agile 4-cylinder engine in the world.

As a result, the Volkswagen Scirocco GTS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6.5 seconds, regardless of whether the manual transmission or the six-speed DSG is used. The Scirocco sports coupe is a major attraction for most fans, as it has been reinvented several times.

Price and release date

The price of the Volkswagen Scirocco GTS has not yet been released, but for obvious reasons it will cost a little more than the TSI BlueMotion model, which is priced at €31,180 (Euro) in Germany. Sales of the Scirocco GTS are scheduled to begin in the middle of , at least for the European market, followed by China in the summer.

Engine

As mentioned earlier, the Volkswagen Scirocco GTS can sprint from 0-62 in under 6.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 153 mph with the manual transmission. With the DSG 6-speed, it can reach an impressive 151 mph. Based on these stats, the Scirocco is in a close second strongest position only after the 2014 VW Scirocco R. On the other hand, the Scirocco GTS lags behind in terms of fuel efficiency as it requires 6.1L of petrol per 100km when using a manual transmission and 6.4L when using the DSG transmission.

Exterior design

The Volkswagen Scirocco GTS exterior includes the R-Line model and features R-style bumpers both rear and front, air intake grilles, gloss black radiators, custom door sill extensions, a sporty rear diffuser and a roof spoiler. The hatchback is supported by a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels called ‘Norwich’ which are standard. Customers also have the option of using the 19-inch Lugano rollers.

Additionally, a feature common in the original Scirocco GTS is incorporated into the GTS, namely the black painted mirror caps. Badges encoded with ‘GTS’ are found on both the tailgate and grille, as well as a stripe sticker that runs centrally from the hood to the trunk lid. Customers are free to choose from a range of colors depending on their preferences.

The interior of the Volkswagen Scirocco GTS stands out and is immensely dipped in a sporty combination of red, black and grey, while the cabin is fitted with a GTS logo steering wheel and newly designed seat covers. The gear knob has the iconic Volkswagen golf ball and the pedals are made of stainless steel. The reddish stitching and decorative stitching add an attractive colour to the handbrake, seat belts, steering wheels, floor mats and armrest. The sunroof is panoramic while the steering wheel is multifunctional.
