VW I.D. Crozz 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The production version of the electric study VW ID Crozz will be called ID.4. This was announced at the IAA, according to media reports. The ID.4 is to be offered in Europe next year as the first VW electric model based on MEB.
I.D. Crozz
The VW ID Crozz was presented at the LA Auto Show in 2017 and is a kind of Tiguan-sized electric SUV. However, the concept car is more reminiscent of an SUV coupe in the style of a BMW X4 or Mercedes GLC Coupe . The ID. CROZZ combines electric motors with 225 kW (302 hp) in all-wheel drive with a range of 311 miles on the NEDC.
OFFER
With a 150 kW DC fast charger, 80 percent of the battery charge can be refilled in 30 minutes.
AUTOPILOT
The ID. Pilot system retracts the steering wheel into the dashboard when the car is driven with an autopilot.
Volkswagen Crozz: General features
The VW ID.4 Crozz is a five-door electric crossover that can accommodate five people. It is equipped with one or two electric motors (depending on the configuration) with a total power of 170 to 306 hp and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 55 to 84.8 kWh. This allows an electric vehicle to travel between 400 and 550 km on a single charge. The charging time with constant current is about 40 minutes.
Every VW ID Crozz is a crossover:
- 5.3-inch instrument cluster
- 10,2-Zoll-Multimedia-Display
- Panoramic sliding roof
- Adaptive cruise control
- two parking sensors
- keyless entry function
- neun Airbags
- Central locking
- electronic parking brake
The list could go on and on and shows that the ID.4 is one of the best-equipped electric vehicles on the global market.
Standard security systems include:
- Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
- Brake force distribution system (EBD)
- Emergency brake assist (EBA)
- Traction Control System (TCS)
- Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
- Recognition of traffic signs
- Active brake/active safety system
VW ID Crozz ID.4 engine and performance data
When the VW ID Crozz VW ID.4 initially launches, it will only be available as a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model. However, all-wheel drive is expected to come later. The rear electric motor, mounted above the rear axle, produces 201 horsepower. Once VW adds the front electric motor for AWD capability, that should increase the horsepower by another 101 horses.
VW ID Crozz VW ID.4 EV range & battery
The VW ID.4 EV in Europe will have an electric range of 310 miles, putting it ahead of the Kia Niro EV and Hyundai Kona Electric. The ID.4 will be built on the MEB platform and should have similar MPGe ratings to the ID.3 models. The VW ID.3 will come with 3 EV battery options: 45 kWh with 205 miles of range, 58 kWh with 261 miles of range, and 77 kWh with 541 miles of range. That’s an estimated 146-153 MPGe rating on average between all 3 batteries. We don’t have EPA-estimated MPGe for the new VW ID.4 yet, but we’ll update this section when that information becomes available.
