VW ID.6 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The upcoming VW ID.6 is hitting the markets. This model will initially arrive at dealerships in China under the name “ID.6 X”. This model is easily recognizable as it follows in the footsteps of the ID.4 variant. However, the ID.6 features larger exterior features and a slightly different front fascia.
Volkswagen ID.6
It is an all-electric crossover SUV with space for seven passengers. And while we know a lot of things, some parts like the interior are still a mystery. On the other hand, performance specifications are also available, along with some other things. Sales will start later this year, according to the latest reports.
Recognizable exterior design
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Technology has presented a new model. The VW ID.6 will also arrive in Europe. Two models should be almost the same. The first details show the same design language as the ID.4 variant. However, the ID.6 comes with larger headlights and a revised front panel.
This crossover wears a faux pickup, while the ID.4 model does not. The rear end is also similar, but the taillights and rear window are also slightly larger. In addition, the ID.6 features a flatter beltline. The crossover also shows off its plastic body cladding, flush door handles, and sloping roofline.
Dimensions
According to leaked documents, the new VW ID.6 will be 192 inches long. Its wheelbase is 116.7 inches long. This makes ID.6 around 11.5 inches longer than the current ID.4 variant. In addition, the wheelbase is 7.8 inches longer. Thanks to this, Volkswagen has built a spacious crossover SUV with three rows of seats and a place for seven people. We can say that the ID.6 is a family-friendly seven-seater SUV.
Performance, range, charging
As far as we know, the new VW ID.6 will use an electric motor with 200 horsepower. This is not really a surprise, as the ID.4 model uses the same rear motor/generator. However, the ID.6 SUV will certainly offer an all-wheel drive variant with a dual-motor setup. The total power is stated to be around 302 horsepower. The battery capacity is not yet revealed. However, it will be the same 82 kWh battery that offers a range of 250 miles in the ID.4 version.
Of course, ID.6 will offer a shorter range due to its size. This model will provide the same MEB platform. The architecture allows for fast charging, so you can charge your crossover from 0 to 80% in about half an hour. We don’t know how many trim levels Volkswagen will offer, but more details will be available in the coming weeks.
Release date, price
The German manufacturer will unveil its all-electric crossover SUV later this year. Most likely, sales will start in the last quarter of and the price will surely start at 42000 € (Euro) or even higher.
