VW ID.7 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Volkswagen China continues to develop new electric vehicles in the country. The latest spy images reveal the VW ID.7 , which is scheduled to arrive in Europe in . It is the realization of the ID Vizzion model , a more opulent alternative equipped with the most powerful engine and battery configurations available.
Volkswagen ID.7
The new VW ID.7 was covered with a screen in one of the factory rooms together with the employees who worked on the production of Volkswagen’s first electric sedan. The manufacturer has already started testing camouflaged prototypes.
Dimensions
The electric station wagon is 4.96 meters long, 1.90 meters wide and 1.53 meters high in the middle class. The dimensions are from the study, but are only expected to change marginally in the series. The same applies to the appearance, because the Space Vizzion looks pretty much ready for production. The continuous LED strip under the front hood will probably be the ID.
At the bottom of the window. Our illustration shows headlights with different graphics and a smooth hood without air ducts. Instead of touch-operated door openers, the series will have conventional handles. The two-tone paintwork will be retained on the ID.7, at least as an option, similar to other ID models. However, it will probably not extend to the front hood, but will only contrast the roof color.
The radiator grille in the front apron will probably remain, but will have a different shape on the lower models. The honeycomb structure could be reserved for a sporty GTX model. Other changes include smaller rims and differently designed mirrors. Some features will probably also adorn the next generation of Passat.
Inner
The interior is, almost typical for the ID studies, buttonless and equipped with a 15.6-inch central display. VW has dispensed with a large digital speedometer unit in the ID Space Vizzion . A narrow display embedded in the dashboard shows the most important information, and the rest is done by a head-up display with augmented reality, which, for example, visually projects navigation instructions onto the road.
The new steering wheel is also suitable for doing without buttons and switches. There are touch surfaces to the left and right of the impact absorber. As with current Mercedes models, gear selection is done via the steering column lever to the right behind the steering wheel. The lever in the ID.7 will probably be replaced by the rotary knob from the ID.3 and ID.4. In the series, the 12-inch screen and the familiar steering wheel will also be seen instead of the mega screen.
In the study, VW is using the sustainable material “AppleSkin” for seat covers, door panels and other interior details: 20 percent of the artificial leather consists of apple residues from juice production. The material also replaces decors and foils. In the future, AppleSkin will also be available with a metallic-looking surface. It remains to be seen whether the material can also be used optionally in the ID.7. In addition, the Wolfsburg-based company is also using the ID.3 light for the ID Space Vizzion – a light bar at the bottom of the windshield that gives the driver visual feedback on voice commands, supports navigation instructions or serves as a warning signal in dangerous situations.
